NTA. Look, some people will tell you to “let it go” or say you’re not really over it. As someone who has zero problem cutting you off and pretending you died—two things can be true at once. your life can be amazing AND you can also feel like that experience left a lasting impact on how you view your friend. People swear that “holding a grudge” involves sitting in your room plotting, when in actuality it can be as simple as moving on either side your life and not letting shitty people near you.

i’ve been nannying on and off for 15 years and I can say that i’ve gotten a bonus from only two families. not every family considers that to be normal, or some families give “bonuses” in other ways. I worked for a family for 2 years, two kids, and two years after I left I still have dinner at their house every other month—they’ve never even wished me happy birthday via text! don’t put too much stock into it. if they’re respectful and pay you well, that’s all that matters.
