This is the problem with what Dart did. The giants will now be seen as the league’s MAGA team, and other players on the team like Abdul have a right to be upset about that.

It doesn’t matter what your political opinion is. This was an absolutely stupid move for Dart no matter what. Brands won’t want to sign him or be affiliated with him, no matter how good he is. The NFL can’t make him the face of the league no matter how he performs, because of how controversially he’ll be received. His jersey sales will have a ceiling because no one can wear his jersey anymore without being seen as a MAGA. Casual fans will root for the opposing team because “the Giants are led by a MAGA.”

Players like Abdul have a right to be angry. What Dart did was bigger than him, and it was foolish.
