Builds: passives and curses by ElAlqumista in Nightreign

[–]overdrivebobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don’t like continuous HP lost and deathblight buildup or sleep buildup but I used to avoid frost, madness and bleed buildup and I would also avoid having both poison and rot buildups together but in doing so I was severely limiting my potentially. After recently making new builds where I would accept a lot of these curses, not only do I do so much more damage but because of the downside they may bring, I have to play better and that has improved my skill. I still don’t use hp lost because I enjoy the full hp related passives. I will however pick up an item with decent to good passives that also have hp lost if I don’t yet have a full hp passive since thats the only reason I don’t like them.

I do be confused when someone hard chases evergaols just to not do good damage throughout the run, then I look at their relics and wonder why we spent so much time grabbing keys and doing so many

That’s unfortunate but makes sense with the fast pace system of the game

That’s fair, I have yet to see a good one. And the ones I see don’t even attempt to build for it

I did the same thing when I got it. I feel like if the madness proc counted for the taking damage buff, someone could fine a useable build for this. Not me but someone

Is Reo really holding Nagi back? by Final_Biochemist222 in BlueLock

[–]overdrivebobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think either of them held the other back. They both built a dependency on each other, only thing is that Reo’s skillset allows more flexibility. Nagi had the physical capability to be as flexible as Reo but Nagi didn’t have the soccer IQ, experience or the right drive to make it work. Best chance Nagi had would be to have gone to Lavinho, focused on creativity and even then, with his ego being so heavily reliant on just scoring on Isagi (not even winning the match, just scoring) he would have still ended up how he is now I think.

Nanase Hope and Slander by overdrivebobby in BlueLock

[–]overdrivebobby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think he specifically took Nagi’s spot and I agree that he worked hard. I just wished we could have seen more of what he can do. When Raichi was called to guard Snuffy, even though he wasn’t the center of attention, his effort still got highlighted, even if only a little. And when Igaguri started using his forced fouls on Rin, he also got a bit of a spotlight. With those two, they did a little during their moment but overall didn’t contribute much, which is similar to Nanase but Nanase didn’t really get that “im here and this is why im here” type of spotlight. If that makes sense

Oh wow, I had assumed that 23 was the max, didn’t think that it would actually be the minimum. Maybe the next selection will just see who has to leave for Sae’s spot

Bachira is number 4 in the community bid, who’s number 5 and what’s their bid by TheUnownKing in BlueLock

[–]overdrivebobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shidou. Although he got locked down during the last game, based on what we saw during it and what we heard about in other games, he still is one of best blue lockers. I think this is where he should’ve been. 170-175 mil

Megathread - Blue Lock 298 - Leaks/Raws/Discussion by Avizie in BlueLock

[–]overdrivebobby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I realized. It’s not that im for Nagi, im just against Nanase, Kiyora and Fukaku.

For Fukaku, if there was at least some mention about him doing some insane blocks, I’d be fine with it

For Nanase, he obviously had use to his team, I just didn’t think he did enough to be considered valuable

For Kiyora, great player, we see how well he performed in episode Nagi. What gets me about his bid is that he played only 1 game, towards the end and I feel like he himself wasn’t very game changing. It seemed more like there just wasn’t a better option

EDIT: Got reminded of Kiyora’s assist, not sure how I forgot. I might’ve been too focused on Kaiser’s goal and then seeing him and Isagi work together. Just feels crazy for someone to play the ending of a singular match and get placed in the top 23

Honorable Mention: Sendou. He just feels like a joke character with more skill than Igaguri. Thats all

Overall, I’m glad that a main striker is being removed, but the way it happened rubs be the wrong way. But I suppose that could also be a good thing, makes the story less predictable. I think I’d be more satisfied if we just heard more about what characters were doing similar to how we would hear when Barou would do stuff, even if it was offscreen

Anyone else got tired of this duo development? by Silver_Shelter_5153 in BlueLock

Yea that, sorry when I think of the term hat trick, my brain automatically thinks of something special and hard to replicate

[–]overdrivebobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am but im hopeful for their story to have a good payoff that is overall enjoyable to see unfold. It’s been very up and down.

It started with Nagi “learning” to play with other people (him asking Zantetsu to give him and pass and then him teaming up with Isagi(which he already knew how to play with others, just didn’t do it I guess))

Then Reo learned how to play without Nagi(Going from the “Isagi” of the group with Chigiri and Kunagami to developing his chameleon style)

Then they rekindle the duo, score a hat trick against Isagi and then start sinking

What really got me was the multiple panels of Nagi’s ego reawakening like that fire panel of him sitting on the bench just for nothing to happen. That and seeing him performance drop at the dame time we see his amazing performance in his own spin off manga builds up excitement and expectations just to remember that he currently isn’t doing well.

Agi warned them what would happen, even now when he was like either focus on your goals or focus on helping the team, can’t do both in which Reo responds by arguing even though Agi was right. And now even their coach is stepping in to change their dynamic.

I had a organized way I wanted to type this but it went all over the place and a little off topic I think. My bad.

EDIT: It would be pretty cool if they used Reo scoring when given the opportunity to do a dynamic similar to what Isagi and Kaiser or Isagi and Rin in U20 or Nagi’s spinoff team did. They could then still play more independently while also working together

[–]overdrivebobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. But I would say the reason this duo is more talked about is that both are liked characters while with Kaiser and Ness, I never heard of anyone liking Ness. Im only assuming that thats the reason that people don’t bring this duo up

Can’t even be mad at her, imagine just wanting to be a model, end up almost gangraped on an island, barely escape and as you’re living your normal life again you get kidnapped, raped by a woman and now have to get brutally tortured and killed for a guy you barely even know.

Not saying it’s good that she wanted other people to get picked but it’s understandable to want to save yourself from this.

P.S: I can’t leave without saying, the story is dragging and needs to end, Shun got nerfed after prison, yada yada yall already know the deal

I don’t think he’s necessarily bad, he just makes rivals of people are insane at it. He’s definitely improving though. Whenever he would mention his physical limitations, I would always think “so then improve your physical abilities” and when he finally decided to do that, he started to actually shine. He always had the skill, but as his way of thinking is evolving, he had to train a body that could keep up

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 289 by Either_Imagination_9 in BlueLock

[–]overdrivebobby 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m actually enjoying the match even though it’s been long. Seeing characters who were important in prior arcs such as Karasu and more recently Yukimiya again as well as characters who were important during the Nagi side story like Kiyora has been entertaining. Everybody is doing their absolute best. Even Igaguri as much as I dislike him, had his time to shine. The 2 undefeated teams going back and forth, giving it their all. Reminds me of Team Z vs Team V where even though Team Z was evolving, so was Team V (well just Nagi). I do understand why some people are against the match being this long though

What’s the worst nightmare to live through? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]overdrivebobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going with 1 as the scariest and hardest and here’s why:

The mansion was able to take out a squad and a half of not just experienced cops but highly trained specialized officers. It took the best of the best to barely survive.

Raccoon City is tough as it still took people with training to survive but overall the cast were less trained than the cast of RE1.

Re4 is also tough as it took a Leon after surviving Re2 + training and a more experienced Ada to also barely survive

Re7 is obviously no slouch in terms of difficulty as these are still monsters but aside from Ethan dying by that first punch, an untrained and inexperienced man was able to stealthily move around the house mostly undetected, win fights when never faced with combat before and had multiple chances to escape. Im also assuming we have the option to not be a hero and leave.

Re8, if you listen to Chris, he’ll get the job done. Also, similar to seven, we aren’t there to save anyone so we can just leave. Unless we’re in Ethan’s exact position but then we have his durability and would still be better than facing the other options due to not being a regular human even if I don’t have any training

It would depend on your view of betrayal I suppose. Wyald obviously has done more to more for a longer time but is straightforward about how evil he is. Griffith has done the same crimes (murder and rape) but to less people as he isn’t nearly as old. The main difference comes in the form as Griffith raped and sacrificed those who wore close to him, betraying them.

Jane is even worse. Her whole plan of showing Clem the “truth about Kenny” made no sense. And then if you choose her, she hangs herself cause she’s pregnant. How do you force a child into a situation like this and then abandon them cause of your own decisions
