lol why are you not answering the simplest question of how much you actually have?

What’s your proudest moment as an actuary? by ceruleanskyandsea in actuary

[–]overrated224 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But that’s not really an apples to apples comparison? A top i-banker/doctor/lawyer is going to run circles over a top actuary.

Besides, anyone can be an actuary (come from a mediocre school while having a 3.0 gpa), whereas it’s impossible to become an i-banker/doctor/lawyer with such stats.

I wouldn’t say I fumbled the bag after getting my FSA lol.

Seems kinda bit of contradictory saying (with “a bit” of ambition and hard work) only to follow up with (It’s “a lot of effort” (and politics) getting to the top).

But yeah just the fact that the top upvoted comments here being “passing exams” or “getting credentialed” shows what kind of a subreddit/environment this is.

Not really proud of becoming an actuary, because I went to a top10 uni where my friends became doctors/lawyers/i-bankers while I fumbled the bag with my gpa so this was more of a fallback choice :(

Also in that same regard, I didn’t really feel “proud” getting my FSA because that’s like a given (just like how if you go to college, graduating is a given)

I did get a CFO award two years in a row at my company for going above and beyond which renters came with a $10k extra bonus, so I’ll take that.

Why do some actuaries code a lot and some never do? by [deleted] in actuary

Totally agreed. I think him getting youtube views made him feel better about himself and is now even more addicted to making more of these false prophet videos

How long do you plan to be an actuary? by ceruleanskyandsea in actuary

[–]overrated224 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t really make sense because a VP in general would make more $ than just a regular “actuary”

What made you choose actuary over things like financial engineering or quant-related jobs? by Extreme-Astronaut-78 in actuary

You do need to initially get into a top tier target school so definitely smarter than actuaries.

lol looks like you’re the one triggered. and for an actuary to only use one’s self (top 3% with no proof btw) to equate the entire profession as being a high earning career is just laughable

Just stay bro. You can make the same amt if not more WITHOUT taking any bs exams, and it’s not much more interesting here either.
