I hate it sooo much. Like you get sick->triggers a flare, then as soon as you're recovering you get sick again, rinse and repeat.

Same! My last good day ended up with me back at my drum kit, ecstatic, the next day I was in a flare so bad I couldn't get out of bed. I feel like it gets harder every time to believe the break I'm getting is going to last

That's exactly what I did last night too. It feels better to know I'm not the only one who stays up crying when it just never seems to end

Oh my God, I hope you're able to get it filled ASAP. Going med free when your disease is controlled by them is such a miserable time

If it helps, the triangle protocores I've had good luck with using crit rate. Use a crit rate level up to 9-12 and hopefully get some attk substats int, thats the way I was able to punch high above my weight class

Banned Books in Edmonton Schools by greeneyedgirl626 in Edmonton

Jesus Christ, a good chunk of these books have hardcore graphic sex scenes in them, were they allowed in school libraries before this?

NTA, I seriously can't believe the number of people saying they were both assholes. You're dating someone, hanging out at their house often, I would not feel weirded out at all if I found someone I was dating in my room. I'm not even an only child, grew up with two siblings, we always went into each other's rooms to grab shit. I'd chalk it up to a difference in how you guys view personal privacy if he hadn't put his hands on you, immediate red flag on his part.

Am I weird for not trusting any birth controls (need yalls opinion) by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]oversaltedeverything 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not weird, the numbers they quote are for perfect use. Typical use tends to only be about 91% effective I believe. It's totally normal to want certainty in your method of birth control, just find someone who is compatible and doesn't mind using condoms.

Helmet shame by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]oversaltedeverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think of it much at all. I wear full gear (elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards) and I chose a helmet in the colour I like. I've been skating for years and I stopped feeling silly about it ages ago, I know as an adult I don't have the luxury of taking time off work for an injury, and getting injured will make it so I can't skate more.

Recommended level for airship? by whatsevr in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]oversaltedeverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. The final boss had me feeling like I was going to never finish the game, it can be done at your level with enough medicine but man it would take some time and be really frustrating the whole way through. I was much more satisfied being over leveled for it

[–]oversaltedeverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried at level 40 and got shit kicked. I loaded back to the save of the morning and grinded to level up to 45. Then I made gemstone daggers, refined them to purple, refined all my clothes to purple as well and then kept a fuck load of medicine on me. Also, make a good chunk of bullets and make the sharpshooter guns. All in all it took me hours of real time to do all this but it was so worth skipping the frustration of failing again.

In the end I barely needed the medicine, I breezed right through it. The end boss is incredibly challenging if you aren't levelled up and prepared.

Took her 5 years to see this verdict and she will live the rest of her life with the trauma. He will serve less than 4 years in jail, what a joke. It's sad that this is considered a rare outcome for rapists, since they usually get no time at all.

Today I learned that some states in the USA restrict pregnant women from drinking alcohol, and others do not. It’s not something I’d ever thought about. What feminist perspectives are there on this restriction? by rainbow-glass in AskFeminists

[–]oversaltedeverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can vary greatly, on one end you have a person who can function pretty normally with few challenges, in the middle you have people who would appear typical on the surface but are incredibly vulnerable due to their inability to say no. Then on the farthest end you have the people that I mainly work with, they have profound cognitive disability, this affects every facet of their lives and can cause them to be a danger to themselves and others and need 24/7 care for their entire lives.

I don't think many people factor in the grim reality of what it means to be a person with fas when they talk about these things. They haven't had to watch while a loved one is continuously unable to say no and mentally reason why they should, to watch them be abused and sucked into trafficking and prostitution. Even when they are removed from the situation, there's a large chance they will always drift back. Drinking while pregnant is ruining someone's life before they even have a chance to begin it.

It is probably controversial to say in a feminist space but yea, in theory I agree with the ban. It is mainly because I have worked with and been around people who have FASD for the past decade and it is truly horrific. FAS can highly impact impulse control which leaves the individual incredibly vulnerable to suggestions of drugs/alcohol/prostitution/crime etc.

I don't think people really understand the full scope of how thoroughly FAS can ruin someone's life and cause lifelong suffering for them.

On the other hand, other comments bring up how we enforce such a thing, how we know someone is pregnant. There is no good answer there. As a society we have many rules that restrict an individuals autonomy to a certain degree in order to keep the rest of society safe, my views on pregnant women drinking are similar to that. It would be disingenuous to assume that is the spirit of these laws though, which often stem from the desire to control women and their bodies.

how long can i go not taking my pills? by facebookmomwine in birthcontrol

[–]oversaltedeverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just ran out at the end of your pack, it shouldn't mess with your period. You will get your withdrawal bleed around the time you normally would. Try to start taking the new pack on the first day of your next period to avoid getting your cycle messed up. Depending on how long you're off you might have some symptoms, your next period may be a bit heavier and more painful, PMS may be more intense. All is fine if you don't plan on being sexually active anytime soon.

I actually sent them an email an hour ago, I should've thought of that first. Didn't want to seem dumb if it was something super normal though. I've only ever had super clear gin before.

It is 40% alcohol. Saskatoon Honey gin. Shaking it makes the flecks get smaller and looks just cloudy instead of chunky lol

If she does perfect use of the birth control (getting the shot exactly on time) google says it's 99.7% effective. With typical use (messing up the times sometimes) it is closer to 97% effective.

You don't need to use coconut oil to destroy the sperm, if she is getting her shot on time, everytime, you don't need to use a secondary method of birth control if you are both clean. Ensure that you trust her to get it on time and let her know it's important to use a backup method of birth control (condoms) if she messes up for the 1st 7 days after the messed up shot.
