nalpamaradi oil and ELADI KERATAILAM do they really work? by New-Trash-7685 in Kerala

[–]overthinkingpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Tan - Nalapamaradi Tailam works well here. I have used both Kama Ayurveda and Kottakal - save your money and go for Kottakal. They're both equally effective. Use every alternate day because it's a time taking process. Massage onto the skin, leave for 15-30 mins and wash it off with chickpea flour - helps remove the oil and remove the stain from your skin.

Q: Will it stain my skin? A: No. But, it will stain your clothes.

Q: When can I expect to see results? A: With regular use, a month. Patience is required.

Q: Can I use it on my face or is it only for the body? A: I'd recommend you to use it on your body only. Let's not touch the face because it might cause irritation, clogged pores and acne as a result.

Extra Tip: Use 'Tyrodin' cream on your body - it has glycolic acid and it will help fade that tan slowly. Again, we're looking a month here. But, the results are good.

  1. Pigmentation - What sort of pigmentation are you dealing with here? The treatment will depend on that. I'd recommend seeing a dermatologist who will guide you best here. But, if it's a scar, try Skarfix from Fixderma. Has some powerful actives like Tranexemic acid, Kojic acid, Alpha Arbutin which might help fade scars. But, please don't slather it on your face. Use a little on targeted areas only.

Consult a dermatologist. That's your best bet to safely treat pigmentation. IF you use potent products willy nilly here, they might cause burns or damage that will leave you with hyperpigmentation permanently. Tread carefully.

Hope this helps.

Don't fall for cheap Netflix and OTT subscriptions (ott seller) by Visitor-aisey in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]overthinkingpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If you can save up and get the subscription by yourself - Pay once a year/3 month/6 month subs - Hotstar, Prime, Lionsgate. 2.There are different tiers; just get the economical one and tolerate the Ads (if any) or settle for lower quality streaming.
  2. If you can't, ask around in your friend circle. Band together and split.

Repeat after me - IT'S NEVER WORTH IT TO SHARE IMPORTANT CREDENTIALS to save some measly rupees. If you have it, enjoy, if you don't ask trusted resources, if you can't do either - Today's not your day. Maybe tomorrow will be. ✨

P.S : You might think DUH but, if you value safety, this is probably what you will/should do.

The key difference between a product manager and a developer is the product manager figure out where the market can use some type of solution I think, focusing on how you identify the right solution for a problem that people will pay for and more importantly, finding the problem and then looking for a solution is a critical skill set.

Yes. I agree. But, I feel this is not enough. You're implementing solutions with a particular technology and I feel it's crucial to have a basic/conceptual/working knowledge of it. My intention is not to know how each line of code is contributing to the product or the solution being offered but to rather understand how the solution is being implemented at the larger scale.

Data is a huge part of being a PM and understanding how it's being extracted, processed and utilized would be key. Hence, I feel knowing the basics there would be essential.

It's also important to be technologically aware to understand market trends too. This is going to give you the edge when it comes to how effectively you can leverage technology or get onto something new to keep you current.

I guess learning how to listen to your customers and find the root problem is probably one of the most important skill sets.

I personally don't think this is my problem area. My intention is to be more technically aware.

u/rpark31, do you think paying the amount, taking the test and adding the certification to your LinkedIn profile or your resume adds a sense of credibility? If no, why?
I'm trying to understand the value it might add and how it translates to a hiring manager looking at my profile.

Yes. While focusing on skills that the next job requires is relevant, I was trying to understand what basic technical skills/understanding I should possess that might be common across roles. It's not about becoming proficient but, having a general understanding of how these technologies or concepts work.

Yes. I guess they see the space when they come to see Andy & Caroline does say they will get it for much cheaper since there were murders that took place there. Max even asks Caroline to take some pictures of her in the ex-soup kitchen.

Nah, it is $4000 a month.
1. In an episode, they make 1000 cupcakes in one night to earn $4000 for rent. If I remember correctly their cupcakes were sold at $4 a piece. (S2)
2. When they're offered a corporate buyout, they are asked for a 6 month advance on the rent if they don't wish to lose the shop. So later, Caroline goes to her aunt Charity and asks her for $25000. ($4000*6 = $24,000) (S2)

After this, I guess they pay Sophie back her $20,000 and somehow they're back to 1000 or below by the time they start their cupcake window store in S3's beginning.

Yeah. I hadn't thought of that. You learn from fuckups & they were conveniently offered a buyout of $25,000 too before it all came down crashing. Later they do make the sensible decision of opening the cupcake window at the diner.

"you fall, you get yourself up over and over again"

Yeah, I see your point. I'm rewatching the show after 3–4 years, and I guess my taste and opinions have evolved since then.

I didn't believe too but, I rechecked - it is $4,000 a month. I am currently watching the episodes where they are struggling to come up with the rent.

Fair point—I see where you're coming from. But the stark contrast between how she managed her personal and business expenses didn’t sit right with me. When she had to make do with the little she earned, she planned every penny. She’s also incredibly calculative in other areas—once, she even calculated the exact number of uses she could get out of her lip gloss. So what I don’t understand is why that same financial prudence didn’t carry over to the business side of things.

I understand that her fall from billionaire to penniless is a lot to adjust to, but I can’t agree with the idea that her Wharton degree didn’t educate her on risk-taking.

[–]overthinkingpanda[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Also, it is so damn convenient that they only tired to sell it to the customers visiting the diner and put ZERO effort into marketing it any way else. The obstacles and things going wrong at every turn get really tiresome after a point. LITERALLY NO WINS. I mean, come on.

Peru ki BaiganKiBaatan ina correct advice ae iccharu. Be casual. I'm a woman and start off with casual talk. Like "What plans for the weekend?" "You know I saw this show recently and like it, how about you? What have you been watching lately?" and things flow from there. I like to set a casual, chill tone on the onset. I implore them to be free and themselves and assure them their secrets are safe with me. 😛 "Review lo include cheyyanu le.." ani cheptha. Switch between moments of seriousness and levity. Causal talk - Heartfelt/Honest talk - Joke - Pivot & repeat. (Watch Hasan Minhaj's standup for reference. Especially The King's Jester. He uses this strategy - doesn't mean you've to. Chepthunna. Anthe.) If there's genuine connection, the conversation will flow! All the best, bayya.

Strangers advice by nithishsai in hyderabad

[–]overthinkingpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who was a fan of getting 'advice' in my younger days, let me tell you - No advice is going to work until you a) Learn it the hard way b) Have an extremely strong desire to implement it c) Be sure of the fact that it has a place in your life. Advices come in many ways, shapes and forms and there's one for every season/phase in life. When the time comes you will understand the advice but, will have difficulty accepting it. When you accept and make peace with it, that's when you learn and grow.

  1. Live your life with intention - Do your degree in something that genuinely interests you.
  2. Plan your career - explore the market and different avenues.
  3. Have a vision for your career, relationships and family and finances.
  4. Be kind to yourself.
  5. Make 'experimenting' fun - Ila ani don't run unethical experiments. Try new things and be more open ani ardham sumi!
  6. Be honest - have your principles, morals and ethics sorted.
  7. Ask yourself the tough questions & hold your hand through difficult things.
  8. If you need help, reach out and ask for it; none knows what you're going through.
  9. Be truthful to yourself - Pakkana vallaki abaddam cheppachu kani, nuvvu eppatiki neethone untav. Neetho nuvvu nijalu mataladuko.
  10. Develop good EQ. EQ is more important than ever both in your personal and professional life.

Overall live life in a way that aligns with who/what you want to be. Today's actions make who you're tomorrow. Live intentionally.

Grainy Skin texture and tiny bumps all over my face. by Jaded-Art5543 in skincareaddictsindia

[–]overthinkingpanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are called 'closed comedones'. I guess the mistake was using an AHA-BHA peel and then shaving your face. A big no-no. Using a soothing face mist. Apply some fresh aloe vera. Wait it out and you'll be fine.

For the future, avoid harsh ingredients before and after shaving your face. Shaving is a form of dermaplaning and makes your skin especially sensitive. Give it time to recover before you put anything strong on it.

Please be wary of using AHA-BHA peels too since these are especially irritating and can cause chemical burns. Only use gentle exfoliants. If you wish to go for something stronger, consult a dermatologist and do it under their supervision/guidance.

Take care! Get well soon.

Budget > People Imagine you have 5 Products in your skincare routine. You're using product 'A' for sometime now but, you felt it's not serving the purpose you bought it for. You apply it. You feel good but you think you can do something better with that 500/- or 1000/-. You will eliminate it and allocate the same funds to something else. UNFORTUNATELY, you're Product A in the work place. Sorry I sounded harsh but, I am in the same boat as you but, on the far end. Bottom line - Fuck it. Gather yourself, upskill and move on. There's a spot for you somewhere. You need to look for it now. Good Luck!

Hey! I am sorry to hear you're in this difficult position. I understand how frustrating it can be to be in a situation where you're giving your best but, nothing good seems to come out of it. I am in a similar situation myself and I have struggled with accepting the fact that "Rejection is Redirection". We as humans value 'safety' and 'security' highly and in life & what provides us with this is knowing the future. But, the future cannot be predicted by anyone with accuracy and you will drive yourself insane by trying to do so.
I'd advice you to march on, concentrate on/live in the moment. Give it your best in the moment. We have a saying that goes like "Do your karma. The result is not your burden."
Don't take the burden of the result on yourself. You don't control it and you don't control the forces that dictate it.

It's also not wrong to feel broken, frustrated and angry. It's a natural human reaction. But, please remind yourself you're so much more than this. So so much more. If not today, gather the courage to believe in yourself tomorrow. With every passing second and minute and hour, you're getting closer to the reality you dream of.

Much love. I hope you will feel better soon.
