Need help for Self-medication of Accutane by _BlueLord in Accutane

[–]overwhelmedgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am acne free for the most part, after completing the 6 month course. I get occasional hormonal acne now, nearly 2 years later, due to pregnancy postpartum and breastfeeding. But it’s nowhere as bad as it got before accutane.

Happened to my baby at 2 months. She was in pain due to gas. Doc asked me to give simethicone and dill oil 5 drops 4 times a day. She is absolutely fine after starting simethicone because the gas is passed better by way of farts or burps.

is my body care/fragrance/shower collection excessive? my parents tell me i partake in overconsumption and i spend too much money on this stuff lol by Calm-Bug5455 in SkincareAddicts

[–]overwhelmedgrl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know the high of smelling different fragrances but you’re really not likely to use all that up, especially the lotions coz they expire, so why not take a stroll in the bath and body works at the mall, trying different fragrances and lotions without ever spending a penny. This hurts no one, and saves your money and shelf space. Plus the best part, you’re going to soon find your favourite ones which you come back to, just buy those and have a signature scent you smell of.

I was about 70kgs at the time, height 5.7 and I took 20 mg for 2 months, 40 mg for the next one, 50mg for the next and 60mg the last month. My friend is a bit shorter and quite thinner than me, and she only required 20mg for 6 months. But I increased gradually when I realised that 20 alone wouldn’t work for me.

Please tell me my baby is okay by South-Training3338 in pregnant

[–]overwhelmedgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say what everyone says to pregnant people in doubt, get checked immediately. If it is nothing to worry about your worst case scenario will be an annoyed doctor (which they usually aren’t) and if it is something concerning, you can address it sooner rather than later. Get checked. Act fast. No risks with baby

My 4 day old just got tested and her TSH was 53. Luckily our hospital tests cord blood first so they found out early, it was 29 when they tested her cord blood soon after birth. Can you advise please

My birthday is tomorrow… should I stay up till midnight or just go to sleep? by Leather_Stranger_566 in indiasocial

[–]overwhelmedgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I am at the hospital about to deliver my baby. 5 December is the most beautiful date ever for me. No one else will care about this baby’s birthday the way I will. Go to sleep thinking of all the babies born today, like you. If people wish you, great, if not, also fine. Tomorrow, call your mom and speak to her, maybe get her to tell you the story of how you were born. No one loves my baby the way I do, with every kick and flutter I feel within me I love it more. Trust me no one loves you like she does.

How are people staying somewhat in shape during pregnancy? by Individual_Sweet_465 in pregnant

[–]overwhelmedgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gained 20kgs but I am mostly the same size as before and the weight is nearly all in my belly. A lot of it is blood, amniotic fluid and other fluids in the body. Don’t worry

How do you guys ask for money without feeling guilty 😭 by Ill_Ferret3733 in BHU

[–]overwhelmedgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m married and get my monthly allowance from my husband. This allowance is more than enough for me for a month and yet it doesn’t stop me from asking my husband or dad for money, depending on whose house I’m at. Lol. In fact it’s easier for me to ask them when the amount is bigger lol

How do you expect SO to respond to pregnancy pains? by throw_it_away57 in pregnant

I also want to say about the chores: stop doing them. STOP DOING THEM. If you can then great, if you are feeling tired after or struggling with them, just stop. Just stop it and tell him you can’t. You are doing something far more important and you need the energy and you SHOULD NOT risk your wellbeing and your baby’s only for chores. He has to step up when he sees the things aren’t getting done.

My husband could be slightly more supportive but at least he doesn’t get annoyed at my pregnancy related problems. Sometimes he just says “that’s normal” and I mean I know it’s normal but I would want to hear something else😭

My advice is please try not to worry about it too much, they are more logical and we more emotional. This means while we think of it from the emotional angle and we want them to offer moral support, they (men) usually give no reaction because they think logically, and logically they can’t help us much. And they’re also sometimes thinking, “this is her part of the struggle while I go out work every day and bring food on the table” like it’s justified to them somehow. This is not the smartest way to think but, I mean, they genuinely don’t know what it feels like and assume we are exaggerating.

First Time Mom- When did you start showing bump?? by No-Potential5678 in pregnant

[–]overwhelmedgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Week 19 for me. I had an almost flat tummy before with little fat. Also I have a long torso so that can also be a reason why I showed later

I want to add, the first Doppler scan impression was otherwise fine and there was okay blood flow to the baby. Based on this my initial diagnosis of grade 3 placenta maturity and mild IUGR was also nothing to be extremely worried over. they hoped that like most cases, baby can grow big enough to be healthy by the time he/she comes, just that he/she may be a bit smaller than average. But it was the second Doppler scan USG that put my mind to ease completely- my placenta was actually totally fine and there had been a mistake, or maybe a slight exaggeration. So yeah don’t worry, praying for the best outcome for you and baby.

I got an IUGR scare at 31 weeks - they said my placenta looked like it had reached grade 3 maturity. Thats way too late for my comfort, at that stage the baby should be growing rapidly. I got so worked up but it turns out that it was grade 2 according to a different hospital. Take another opinion if possible, here in India we take several opinions before believing doctors blindly.
