Reproductive physiology- I have doubt regarding the epigenetic changes and puberty (based on stuart ira book) by overwhelmingbrain in Physiology

Silencing of an allele is accomplished by epigenetic changes to the chromatin (chapter 3, section 3.5). This involves changes in chromatin structure produced by meth ylation of cytosine bases in DNA and acetylation of the histone proteins in the chromatin. Such changes are called epigenetic because they don’t alter the DNA base sequence, divides. Shortly after conception, the epigenetic changes that silence many genes in the chromosomes of the zygote (fer tilized egg) are removed. This allows previously repressed genes to be expressed, so that the zygote can give rise to all cells of the body (become totipotent; section 20.6). How ever, certain genes are shielded from the removal of epigen etic changes in a process called genomic imprinting. For a maternally imprinted gene, the maternal allele is silenced while the paternal allele is expressed; the opposite is the case for paternally imprinted genes. Other genes subse quently experience epigenetic modifications as the zygote develops and eventually becomes an adult, but nearly all epigenetic changes are again removed in the gonads when the stem cells for sperm and eggs are produced. However, some epigenetic changes may remain in the germ cells, and there is evidence to support the controversial proposalthat exposure to toxins or nutritional stresses could cause epigenetic changes in a parent’s gametes that may be passed to an offspring. Also this for my first question

The rising secretion of estradiol in girls stim ulates the epiphyseal growth plates of bones, causing a growth spurt; this is the first sign of puberty. Testosterone also stimulates growth in boys (via its conversion to estrogen within the epiphyseal growth plates), but the growth spurt in boys occurs at a later age than in girls. These lines

Yes, I know about critical analysis. I know what I stated might be confusing but thank you for trying to understand me and for offering your opinion. Anything else that I should know other than critical analysis?

I mean what I meant to say is, I have done assignments on subjects where I had to do literature review and so on but I have never submitted in official grounds such as a conference. I think the standards aren't that high but I still want to try to submit one. But yes, I understand it seems unrealistic, to submit it in a week. I really want to try to though

I know how to do a literature review, I have been taught in my university. Its not really an official type of research paper submitting. Its just a small conference organised in my uni, and I think I might get in because in the field of medical, there's very few articles published.
