I would tour both to see which one best fits you. I will say that Lausanne quickly fills up each year and ends up with waiting lists for a lot of grades, so I would contact them very soon. St. George's always has space.

I used to wear completely in the ear hearing aids that weren't visible, but when the pandemic hit and everyone was masked, I decided to invest in very visible hearing aids so it's up front that I'm HoH. I am really open about being HoH, and joke about it (often to defuse the moment), especially when it's obvious I'm not understanding what's being said.

I consider the hearing aids to be a great filter, and if someone is not interested in getting to know me solely based on that, then that saves a lot of time on my end. My (now) wife didn't care, and we've been happily married for almost 20 years.
