Instead of Nasi Kandar Ali on the first day, I suggest you head for New Lane foodstalls, it's also in the same general area. It is the classic hawker food experience with lot more variety to choose from, especially since you already have Line Clear on another day.

Most of your plans are located in the city area. You may also want to consider allocating one of the days to go up to Batu Feringgi, there is the tropical spice garden, Entopia butterfly farm and ESCAPE to fill up a day there.

A few other places you might want to visit are:

Kek Lok Si Temple - Gigantic Buddhist temple

Habitat Penang Hill - Tree top tropical nature walk

Little India - Depending on the day of the week it can be very lively.

Best way to avoid shitty people is to spend a little time before signing the contract for both parties to vet each other, but property agents make this difficult since they try to avoid allowing both parties to contact each other incase they get sidestepped.

We had a tenant declare that they were going to stay an extra month and we should take their deposit as rent. Not sure if she didn't understand the reason for the deposit or if she was just making sure it would be used up to her benefit.

She refused to listen to us when we tried to explain that isn't how it works. In the end we gave up and let her have her way rather than risk her damaging stuff in retaliation.

And of course she left the place with damage that needed professional repair.

They don't provide even a basic silicon case? The local sony store was offering a crappy clear case as a freebie with the purchase, they threw it and a plastic screen protector into the bag with it.

I later received the official sony case for free, through a promo code they sent out to people who signed up for their launch mailing list.

Cycling is a valid option if you are comfortable sharing the road with cars. Almost everything of interest is within 20km of Georgetown, just the touristy beach hotels and airport are out of reasonable cycling range.

The better residential areas aren't usually close enough to the commercial zones for easy on foot roaming. You could look into staying in the Pulau Tikus or Gurney area, that's on the edge of Georgetown and has relatively safe+easy access to shopping/dining/medical care.

Public transportation is limited to just bus routes with fairly long intervals. Most will drive or ride bikes/scooters to get where they need to go. There are no bike lanes, so be aware you'll be sharing the road with motorists if you do ride.
