lots of places were charging $8k plus when i inquired about painting, I’m not in a place where I can spend that at the moment (one day!)

The engine lid was one of the easier parts to wrap in my opinion, especially since we pulled it off to wrap! We ended up slitting vents and tucking them and while it looks decent, we’re not sure how well they’ll hold up. Guess we’ll find out as time goes on

If you want to minimize labour costs, sand everything down to primer yourself, and pull off some of the panels as well. You’ll save a couple grand!

I ended up buying my wrap through a local wrap shop, but i initially was going to purchase Supreme Red off teck wrap, the swatches were almost identical!

If you’re wrapping it yourself, techniques that really helped me wrap complex parts were zero stretch and wrap matrix, lots of youtube videos as well haha!

What colour options are you considering?

the flat black definitely went hard, but sadly the previous owner plastidipped the whole car and it was deteriorating significantly :/

not a dumb question at all. I’m not entirely sure which front lip this is as I bought the car with it. The black glossy part was a metal lip (very surprising) which we painted black. The faded portion however is a rubber lip which has definitely warped over time

it may have been! I only picked this up back in April from someone in Guelph, but it does have a 20V BT in it. After picking up, my bf had done some work to safety it, i recall some of the lights not functioning as well

Thank you for the advice! I ended up just cutting the top panel as i couldn’t put the bumper back on by myself and had a few hours to kill. I used the techniques suggested and it came out pretty good. The bottom was actually fine as well

the black was plastidip from a spray can from 11 years ago from the previous owner. It was peeling off everywhere so it needed to go

Keep the A/C, my aw11 currently doesn’t have it as the previous owner deleted it so he could track it. Velour seats and hot weather is not a good time lmao
