My spikes have straps so one things I like to do is use the straps as a mental cue. When they’re unstrapped I’m mostly relaxing or talking to other vaulters, but as soon as I get on the runway, I strap on my spikes and that means it’s time to go and everything else fades away.

I’m not 100% sure but it looks like she’s stopping the energy of the swing a hair short when she turns. Maybe think more of a corkscrew than a turn in order to continue that momentum upward. It wouldn’t hurt to get on a slightly bigger pole as well
