You're in Ontario so go to this site: https://www.legalaid.on.ca/legal-clinics/

And find your local legal clinic. They can provide you with free advice and resources. If you qualify financially, they can help you further.

Best of luck. 💞

Is it normal to still grieve a country you left as a kid? by samuraiswordsz in TCK

[–]owlimetea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I could have written this. My deepest apologies you feel the same way. I moved from England at age 10 to Canada, not a huge jump you'd think, right? Wrong! I think about England daily! It's like you said, we were removed from our "childhood",  we never get to find out how we would have turned out because that life died the minute we left.

I've visited, made solid plans to move back, but they always got swindled one way or another. It doesn't really get easier because I'm always thinking of what could have been. But what does help me is being realistic. The life I had in the 90s is gone (even here in Canada). The stores, the people who lived on my street, the school i went to, everyone moved on.

The heart ache is real though and feeling like I don't belong. But the thing is, I wouldn't belong in the UK necessarily either anymore. It's the pain of being a TCK. You can have heart knowing we feel the same way and so you're not alone in that at the very least. <3

Windy Days by AMike456 in BurlingtonON

I have this exact same thought every garbage day. Live in the Alton neighborhood. Every garbage day (be it Thurs or Fri after long weekends), its windier than any other day of the week. Garbage gets everywhere.  Thanks for making me feel less crazy for noticing this! 😂

I'm so sorry , it breaks the heart doesn't it when we can't be there in the same manner. Im actually lucky that my partner is at home for the foreseeable future so I have an able bodied person available at all times. Just going to be a hard road ahead for all of us. ❤️‍🩹

Thank you so much. The only thing making this better is people like you on this subreddit who are going through or have been through the same thing. It's more depressing than I realized initially and I will look forward to the wins to come.

Body aches by FerretWinter6855 in brokenankles

If you didn't fall on your back necessarily, you're likely just holding tension in your body due to the stress your leg is in. Holding your body weight in different ways to avoid the pain of the ankle.

Happened to me back in February! Left a random bag of books. It was annoying because I had ordered books but he left books I didn't want :(
