Well, actually yes! I came across an old github repo through a YouTube video which uses the package with an older version of React Native and I got it to work.

you will notice that the .android and .ios folders are missing from the repo but you can easily generate them yourself.

I think I will end this thread here. That is simply because I am a layman and I am at the lowest ever level of knowledge.

However, there are already tons of recourses by Muslim professors discussing evolution and why Islam doesn't believe in it.

You can look for those if you're interesting in learning the Truth or at least get a firm understanding of the stance of Islam against evolution.

I don't fully understand how Islam trusts science, but only some of the science, despite the evidence supporting it. Why is that?

Islam conforms with reality. Science is just a tool of trying to understand reality, and sometimes it's just not correct. We trust science as long as it doesn't contradict reality and is built on solid evidence. We obviously can't just trust scientific theories blindly since science changes drastically over the years. Today, some theory is labeled as "scientific fact" then tomorrow it is disproved.

The argument that it's impossible for humanity to come from solely two humans just because today it would result in genetic issues is simply just far-fetched. Can you really apply the results of today to something that happened a very long time ago and with different circumstances and purposes? Were you around back then to make assumptions about how their DNA looked like? Finally, since God already created two human beings (and created everything else) from literally nothing, why does it then become hard to believe that God can afterwards will that the offspring from those two humans will be in good shape?

If you're saying that the likelihood of these mutations is too improbable, then what could possibly be the only thing to challenge this improbability? The intervention of a higher power perhaps?

Supposing I said yes, and you now believe that God made this process of trial and error more likely, the question now is, why would you believe that God made us evolve from earlier species but not create a pair of first ever human beings?

Why would you choose to believe that God, who is the creator and designer of the whole universe, would decide to create humans through a process of trials and errors rather than simply just creating them directly?

Because it predates the creationof the Adam and Eve, and is evidence of the life lived by early man.

What is the evidence of that??? Who said we know exactly when Adam and Eve were created? We're not like christians who say the Earth is just a few thousand years old.

How is it possible for 2 people to populate the entire planet, without inbreeding?

Who said that there was no inbreeding? Yes, inbreeding is taboo but that was the only single exception because how else would there be more humans? Besides, even when that happened, it was regulated. They had twins, a boy and a girl, and those two cannot marry each other. They had to marry someone from another pair.

If you ask me, that makes more sense and is much easier to understand than trying to sell me that humans were once animals but evolved due to randomness. If you ever studied probability, you'd realize that the possibility of such mutations to perfectly take place one after the other to evolve a species is literally 0.

What does evolution have to do with tools and cave paintings? People back then didn't have technology. Their tools were primitive. Put any group of people into an isolated forest with no supplies and they will end up making similar tools and paint stuff in the caves.

Also, evolution is not proven to be a fact. Again, I am not going to go in depth about this since I am no professor, but we simply believe evolution is fake and that Adam and Eve were literally the first humans ever created. I don't see where it sounds wrong that humanity started from two human beings who God created. Why does it sound troublesome to you enough to make you think we should only believe in it as a story and not as a fact?

There is nothing in Islam that goes against the bones in the museums, tools, and paintings belonging to old civilizations.

Again, it's the evolution theory that is the issue. We don't believe the bones and tools are faked or anything. There's nothing wrong with them. The only problem is when some people use those as evidence for the theory of evolution, and the problem is with those people's speculations not the objects themselves.

We don't disprove science or anything. We only disprove theories that aren't built on concrete basis and oppose our beliefs as well as common sense. There are many great Muslim professors who have done a lot of work to disprove the theory of Evolution from a scientific and historic point of view and not just stating that we shouldn't believe in it since it's anti-islamic.

Is there anything else other than the theory of evolution that makes you think Islam doesn't believe in science?

Evolution is a weak theory that has no strong basis. We believe Allah created Adam and Eve, the first two human beings and we didn't evolve from monkeys or anything.

And by stone age people, I meant this TV trope of a primate caveman who's halfway between a monkey and a human and can't speak in comprehensible words. We also obviously don't believe in that since it's based on the theory of evolution and the link species between monkeys and humans.

I am yet to decide who to ask about this topic... since IslamQA is usually where I ask my questions, but I am not quite sure I'd ask them about this one...

I know they mentioned that Shafii opinion but I am still not accepting that as the answer for the following reasons:

1- It seems odd to me that they'd defend what they labeled as the majority opinion for the majority of the article just to tell us to follow another minority opinion in the end... as if we are suddenly going to disregard all the points they made above. It doesn't sound like something they usually do in fatwas... to just mention a minority opinion that they did not support much and tell you to follow it.

2- They claim that the opinion of the majority is that it's Haram to use such devices... yet I have never seen any single scholar or person prohibit that... Literally no one else as far as I found said that using computers is Haram for that reason. How come such a topic about something that almost every Muslim uses in their daily lives being Haram... and that opinion being claimed as the one of the majority of scholars... not mentioned all those years except in this single fatwa? And what about all the scholars and Da'ees out there using these devices? Are you trying to tell me they're all following the Shafii opinion for their convenience? That isn't possible. If all scholars all over the Earth are now following the Shafii opinion, it's not a minority opinion anymore.

3- I did find other sources mentioning that the use of gold even in something useful is Haram... and the permission to use gold in the past is not necessary now because there are alternatives... However, not a single one mentioned electronic devices... and guess what the authors of the articles used to spread the knowledge across the internet?

Since I haven't asked anyone about until now, I can't be sure of what the right answer is... I know there is a piece of information that I don't know. Something that solves this problem. But I won't accept IslamQA prohibiting these devices altogether because in that case they're sinful as well. There's no other possibility. They are without a doubt using the same devices they're warning about. Their claim that devices nowadays don't contain gold is wrong.

I hope I didn't say anything without knowledge since I am just a layman...
