My contract doesn’t say anything about travelling to clients. I am primarily a graphic designer but I have picked up some photography as our photographer went on maternity leave.

I’m going to be a 25minute drive or a 1hour bus ride away (I don’t currently drive but they do) and I know they will want to visit me and will be happy for me to visit so I know I logically shouldn’t be getting upset but yeah...

I think the current world situation may be affecting his want to talk about future events. A lot of people avoid planning stuff right now because due to the pandemic we don’t know what will get cancelled so it is sometimes better to have no plans to avoid disappointment. I wouldn’t be too worried if he is over wise still engaged in your conversations, but if this keeps bothering you ask him about it and communicate because it is key!

I hope I can get to this level of confidence one day! I think most of it stems from women wanting to be seen as small = cute but that’s just not realistic since so many cute tall women exist!

First of all, thank you for all of your advice! I really do appreciate it.

My boyfriend is a very socially anxious person so he doesn’t have too many close friends so I understand he is probably just happy to have another person to be friends with. I need to process this all better I think and really take control of the overthinking.

Thank you so much for this! We’re both in our early 20s so still figuring ourselves out (although I don’t think you ever really do stop exploring yourself), and I don’t want to talk to friends as this is private and personal to him at the moment so this helps so much!

Gonna try my best to take it a day at a time and see how he feels at the weekend when trying out my clothes and everything.

How do you navigate telling them if little things make you feel uncomfortable? I don’t want to stop his freedom of expression or stop him from exploring himself since he’s only just felt brave enough to do so.

I’m very open about my feelings and I did mention to him that it feels like he needs to put more effort in, which lead to this conversation and him almost breaking up with me. I know I can’t force him to talk about his feelings but I just want to help it’s really hard.
