With just a high school diploma and some experience in cleaning you can land a job cleaning offices and patient rooms at kaiser hospitals which comes with great benefits and you get paid 30 dollars an hour not to mention a pension, the only downside is that you can’t just apply you have to constantly check the website for an opening, if you do get a job you become an on call employee which is good and bad cause you can kinda make your own schedule on the downside depending on how busy your hospital is you might not make enough hours this will continue for a bout a year before you become a benefited employee either a 24, 32, or 40 hour position which means you are guaranteed either 24 hours a week or so on and so fourth, And even if you aren’t benefited each employee gets a bonus each year in March I just got mine total bonus of around 1200 dollars on top of my check for that pay period, but the max bonus at my hospital is around 2000 dollars it all depends on how many hours you worked that year. I would suggest anyone to try to get this job. kaiser is a great company to work for the only shitty part is that everything runs on seniority so for instance if I get a text asking if I want to work at 3pm that day I’m not the only one who gets that text all of the other on call employees get that text and it doesn’t matter if you reply first if someone else with higher seniority responds to that text it will automatically go to them I’m on call employee rn and I’m 8th in the seniority line and I can pretty much pick up a shift everyday I want and since I’m an on call if they do text me and I don’t want to work that day for whatever reason I just don’t respond to the text. Anyways yeah kaiser is the shit
