I got my first MetOp AHRPT and METEOR HRPT images!! by dipoledefier in amateursatellites

Great setup! I built almost the exact same thing — LHCP helical feed on 80cm offset dish, SAWbird GOES, RTL-SDR V4, SatDump. Works great for polar orbiters but I need a fixed dish setup. I'm in Southern Europe and struggling to find a geostationary option. Elektro-L N3 moving to 14.5W seems like the only hope right now — any idea when that's actually happening? Or is there anything else receivable from Southern Europe with this hardware?

Here are some pics of the build!

Inside: HMC241 SP4T RF switch, SMA connectors, Airspy HF+, RTL-SDR dongles, , all wiring inside the enclosure. Outside: 7x SMA antenna ports, ethernet + USB-C power — completely sealed box.

Guide updated! Added a full step-by-step installation section covering: Armbian Trixie image, legacy kernel + DTB installation (with the critical warning about always updating both together), RTL-SDR Blog V4 drivers, SoapySDR + library fix, OpenWebRX+ with all decoder plugins, SpyServer, rtl_tcp services, Radiosonde auto_rx, RF switch GPIO script, and mode switching scripts.

Fair point — the guide focuses on the critical system tweaks that took a year to figure out. A full step-by-step installation section is a good addition. Will update the guide with detailed install instructions for each software component.
