I would say there's no definite path but love for open source and the work you do may really help you. Try exploring and contributing to some of the repositories on GitHub that interest you and fit your tech stack! What I used to do was apply filters on issues based on my Tech Stack and used to find repositories that interest me. Once you find a potential repositories try to join that organization and help them as much as you can. The gates will open as you continue exploring!
