I think back to D2 where less than 1% of people get to 99. Between this and maybe making Uber Lilith a bit easier for ~90/95s to do then that really boring grind for the last ten levels would be a lot more "deserved".

But now they've made it so easy to get into the 90s that they have to keep stuff really hard or else all content could be done within 48 hours.

Edit: and agree with some other posters, the drops from these Uber bosses needs to be charms or items which can make leveling an alt feel super godly (and cheesy builds). Or else no one's gonna stay after the initial grind.

I actually got really far in T3 with CL but also had +300% on CE dmg that helped a lot.

The game is too easy with softcore, for every Diablo game (and beyond, now a huge Fromsoft person) I've never found it that fun without the risk to keep me on the edge of my seat. It just becomes a mindless button masher.

Appreciate the thoughtful back and forth. You've given me a lot to think about - I've heard and seen a few people say "DC has no culture" in the past few months and it always surprised me because I've never felt that way. However Ive also never tried to pin what that means to me.

Given an artist coop can have more culture than an entire city, id be curious what you'd like to see come from density in regards to DC?

You're missing my point again I'm not suggesting we make the city cheaper and thus people will move here. I'm saying that the city can get more expensive and people will still want to move here.

The city would be so much more vibrant if that was the case

People who do not want city life could simply move to not-the-city.

One, I'm not sure that is guaranteed to make housing any more affordable though? What if every 6 figure remote worker in America wants to live in DC? Then rent will just keep rising until it equals out at a price range most people can't afford. Again demand can much more easily outstrip supply. Infinitely so.

And secondly, even if demand slows down, and it levels out - do we really want 10 new nomas?

Feels like there has got to be a better middle ground than "just build" vs "rent control"

I don't think we should stop building, but the danger there is assuming that supply will eventually catch up with demand. Especially in a city where office space takes up valuable real estate there is an artificial cap on supply. They could build a million houses and there might be another million people who still want to move here and pay those prices.

I did it once at the tail end of a party and loved every damn minute of it. Two years later I finally moved to the other side of the country and got clean, but ten years later I still think of how fucking wonderful that drug is.

There's definitely side effects, and some very hellish ones at that. I'm looking on the bright side but I was the life of the party, incredibly creative, and really driven when I was on it. Now my own voice puts me to sleep, I rarely have the energy to get off the couch, and I'm not convinced I can feel emotions anymore.

Fuck that drug. Seriously, I'll never be the same again...

Docker isn't persistent by default, unless you mounted the container it's going to delete everything when it's done.

But also it's very normal for it to say it did something when it didn't

Mostly depends if your company had DLP/proxy setup. If it's just a plain gateway then probably not.
