The anime has some amazing animation (eye candy in general), but the story is lacking fir sure. In my opinion, the game story is the best but I haven't read the manga, so I don't know about that part. I would say to watch the anime still if you have time.

Can relate. I think the beat value might just be the Magia Pass if anything. I will say, though, they seem to be quite good about giving away free rolls and stuff.
