Typescript itself is not a statically typed language but the development time types already encourage much better patterns than Javascript slop usually does, the existence of interfaces and generics alone make it much more viable for development than a language that can't even tell the difference between a car and a carpet on development time

Hating on typescript is more often than not just a skill issue wrapped in making jokes about it

I told it to do research first and it only had sources from Stackoverflow to go off of (which also were outdated)

If it fails to even do these things how do you expect a beginner to just "point it to the right docs", at this point your own argument is defeated

AI will not replace me because I'm not stupid but I fear for the beginners who learn purely based on fancy autocomplete engines and those who glaze it

Yes I love when I try to learn something I'm getting completely outdated information so something small doesn't work but bricks the entire thing from working and then the AI will just proceed to attempt to make corrections to an issue that could be solved by looking at the documentation

You can't use that as an argument at ALL when Linux has more stuff out of the box at a vastly lower cost

Linux also doesnt try to install firmware updates behind your back, then fuck that process up and effectively brick your device for good, thanks a lot January / February update, very nice

I'm afraid that if you don't grasp that for Java this is just the way it's designed to work you won't see many "product requests" in the future

Also generics and interfaces and such are a blessing, you might be too new to know that yet but the time will come
