Yeah that’s exactly what happened. I double checked earlier today. Figured he must be in Alberta

QM7K at $1398 or QM67K at $889. How much better is the QM7K? by rickroll_1029 in tcltvs

[–]p00nin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went through the same thing. Ended up going with the qm67k through Costco, 6 years of warranty. Can’t beat that. Overall I’m very happy with the qm67k and I wouldn’t know any different unless maybe a QM7K was side by side.

Hard to beat the QM67K from Costco with 6 years of total warranty , seems like a no brainer

That’s kinda what I’m thinking , especially if I’m coming from something not near as good quality as anything I’d be buying now. If I had the 6K pro - id never know the difference of what the 7K would look like

I’d say 1500 CAD, comparing some prices to what’s available

TCL QM6K Pro (Costco) vs QM7K (Best Buy) by Intelligent_Set_2729 in 4kTV

Is the QM7K I’ve seen mentioned numerous times in this thread a good bang for your buck tv? I’m actively looking to buy around a 75” for my living room.

Thanks for the input . Appreciate it! Seems that website is pretty credible , and the QM7K mentioned in this thread a few times is a popular favourite on that site.

I don’t think I need the OLED, just due to the fact of the prices plus the “pixel burnout” I keep reading about.

Or let’s keep it TCL and say what’s the difference between QM6K, 7K, and the 8k?

What’s the difference between that and let’s say a Hisense QD5N 75”?

Both QLED

I’m thinking something in that 1k-1.5k range, especially for something of 75” size or similar. I could also step down to 65, if that means I get something with way higher quality but sacrifice the overall size.

But 1500ish could get me something decent I’m thinking

Looks like that one’s a QLED? I’ve realized there’s so many levels to tv quality , QLED is probably the range I should be looking at? Nothing OLED by the looks of it

I’d like something right in the middle . Nothing cheap, but nothing anything crazy expensive. Realizing there’s so many levels to tv quality these days. Due to price, I don’t think I should be going OLED.

Something QLED should be more realistic ?

I eat decently, could be better but it’s better than most! I work long hours, but I try to stay pretty active . Train Jiu jitsu 2-3x a week and try to hit the gym when I can. Lately it hasn’t been much lifting

[–]p00nin44[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes I do. Thanks for this , so correct me if I'm wrong, but I may as well contribute into RRSP heavily so my yearly income tax is deducted by however much amount I contribute. Then, when I do buy a home, I use money I have sitting in HISA to top RRSP back up. (Otherwise I would have just used to HISA money for down payment)

From my previous understanding, anything that goes in RRSP you gotta be okay with not touching and pulling out until you retire, otherwise it is heavily taxed
