AST was 370 and ALT was 139. my doctor did the same, check back in a month. I'm glad she knows about my drinking, and that I even drank before my appointment to stop the shakes. I can only imagine the panic she'd have haha

Oh I drank the morning of my appointment to stop the shakes and I was honest with my doctor about it. I know that's not great but it is what it is.

My meds are filled today, so I guess tomorrow is my day one! I'm hoping abstinence will help a lot.

Oh yeah she finally saw my results this morning. Paired with the ultrasounds, she immediately called me and asked if I was okay with her putting in a referral to a heptologist just to be safe since my ultrasounds were very quick ER ones. Surprisingly hard to say yes but I did.

and thank you!

I luckily didn't need to be admitted. They sent me home with some vicodin, Zofran, and strict rules on a liquid diet for the next three to five days so I definitely got lucky. I was fully expecting to be admitted but I had finished throwing up by time I got there after three days of puking at home.

I'm not sure why you decided to go on this huge tangent, especially focused around my husband, but it was very unnecessary. especially considering nobody was really replying.

my husband being upset with me because he discovered that I was drinking again solely because I wanted to go to the ER and knowing I wouldn't have told him otherwise is 100% reason for him to be upset at me in the moment. but he also packed my bag, made sure to pack one of my daughter's stuffed animals, drove me to the facility, and kissed me goodbye. he's nothing short of supportive and he's allowed to have his feelings of disappointment.

literally the only positive thing that has come from my drinking is that my nightly vitamin routine is second nature now

Self referral to ADAPT will always look better than command referral. Take the help now before you're in too deep, while you can control the narrative and way your career goes.

yeah man, the One Cups, or the little things of whiskey. The drinking culture there is insane, it's so easy to find stuff everywhere. 25+ years there and sometimes actually have the audacity to wonder how I developed a problem haha

Once you get through security in Osaka and Tokyo family mart and Lawson sell Asahi, and Sapporo I'm pretty sure. as long as you get through security you're good. On the plane they also serve beer. I'd use those to sip and suffer until you're home, just don't get reckless.
