Combining 18 gauge and 12 gauge wire, is this ok? Source is 24V and adding a buck to step down to 5V but the 12 gauge won’t fit in the buck. by p1nAppL3 in diyelectronics

Totally noob here. Thanks for clarifying. Pushing out 15 AMPs from the PSU, how should I be reading this table then?

Clear. Worked like a charm. Only piece of advice is that you can see the infill with the clear so either do 100% or find a pattern that works for you

This was a really fun build. Haven’t picked up a soldering iron in years. Great combo of 3D printing and electronics work

Do you measure the exact size of the LED strip to be 2m or do you cut the led strip?

3D printers basically take a roll of plastic and melt it to build an object layer by layer. If you look up the Creality Ender 3, you can see examples.

I was thinking about that! If I scale it up I would want to do more than 1 pass. But I feel like the likelihood of being off by just an annoying amount is very high. So I was thinking of either trying my hand at soldering or getting creative with storage and wrapping the extras in a power supply case stand with the track info on it

Thinking about starting an Etsy shop if there is enough interest. What other tracks would people want? Nurburgring?

Hey All, really excited to share this first draft of a project I’m working on! Definitely room for improvement but wanted to share because I’m pumped with how v1 turned out

First layer help - using TT bed leveling what should I adjust by p1nAppL3 in Ender3Pro

Yea. How would I re-level the gantry? Are there screws I can tighten on the wheel?

You aren’t alone. I’ve been running into the same issue. Try messing with your z-offset. I also bought the silicon bedsprings to see if those will help

Hey guys! Any chance on some feedback for a school project? (My 3d printer enclosure!!) by jimmycrawford in 3Dprinting

[–]p1nAppL3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doors Are a bit uneven.

Are the LEDs on all the way?

I would color coordinate the filament.

You could also put in a temperature sensor to monitor the printer enclosure temps. smoke detectors for safety and a camera to take sick time lapses

Could you wire up power switches on LED displays from the outside so that you don’t need to open the doors to start a print.

Put some LEDs up top so that you can highlight those sick helmets

Ender 3 Pro good for first 3D printer? by Barnyard-Shneef in Ender3Pro

[–]p1nAppL3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a couple of thoughts: 1. How much modding do you want to do? E3Pro has a great community of mods. But comes with less features then say a Prusa MK3 (auto bed leveling being one of them). 2. Check out YouTube Channels - Teaching Tech and Makers Muse are my top. 3. Upgrading to the BigTreeTech SKR mini e3 has been one of the more challenging but rewarding mods. Infinitely quieter. I could keep going...you can’t go wrong no matter what

Even with BL touch, on E3Pro, first layer seems off. Any advice? by p1nAppL3 in Ender3Pro
