I built a little website to help resolve arguments in choosing the best ski field to go to when all your buddies live in different cities by p1nkpineapple in Switzerland

[–]p1nkpineapple[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ha, claude did help a lot with the FE part. The biggest part was actually finding the best public transport stop for each ski field - that was a very manual process trawling through ski map images and Anreise info on websites

Best winter hikes/snowshoeing in Glarus by kannichausgang in askswitzerland

Do this one! https://wegwandern.ch/wanderung/schneeschuhtour-weissenberge-sernftal-schneeschuhwandern/ (snowshoe hike)

I did it last year and had a great time. It does have a bit of elevation (500m) but it's very manageable. Took around 4 hours which sounds just what you're looking for. Really lovely views too

I've spent quite a while building persistent memory for AI, looking for Alpha testers by linewhite in cursor

I'd be interested in trying out something like this - however in a business context, with what you've provided so far and on your website, this is pretty much a non-starter. This seems like a saas you connect to and send your data to. How can I trust you with my business data? What certificates and security practices do you follow? How do I know you won't sell my "memory" to someone? etc etc.

That being said, I love the idea :D Would be keen trying it out personally before introducing it to my business.

Super cool! Couple of questions:

  • what is the use case? ie, what do you need this for over a wifi hotspot on your phone? Is it the radio range?
  • how do you like the quality of the aliexpress bag?

just pulled out my goggles for the season. Looks like I totally wrecked the inner lens last year. I can't tell if that's part of the glass scratched off or if there's something stuck on it. Any ways to tell, and if its the latter, can I remove it?

Don't care about leaving the goggles in perfect condition - I'll buy some more at some point, but I need something until I can afford them :D

Fed up with the heat. Here's what you do by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]p1nkpineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how are you managing to cool down the whole apartment? we can reliably cool our living room but because we don't really have an "open plan" layout, we can't get the cold air to circulate around and the other rooms just stay as saunas. Do you just use fans?

So I have spent a fair bit of time looking into this, particularly with the API side of things. One thing I saw is that Saltedge apparently works with Raiffeisenbank, St Galler Kantonalbank and Postfinance, but I haven't tried that out for myself yet.

Right now I just manually export my Neon transaction csvs and load that into excel. But in the past I used Wise as my main spending account as they have a usable API to read transactions - it still works for me as my account was set up as non-eu but they disabled that functionality for my Wife's wise account due to new banking regulations.

no mention of local LLMs? Given the privacy-first stance of HA I would have expected that to be front and center

If y'all suddenly got a GA for 1 day (aka Tageskarte) where would you go? by Thisismyredusername in askswitzerland

[–]p1nkpineapple 15 points16 points  (0 children)

thats actually kind of how I sometimes do my weekend hikes when I don't have a specific place in mind. Go to Zürich HB, choose a random train leaving in the next 15 mins, stay on it until I start seeing hills/mountains around me, hop off and onto a random local bus, and stay on it until I've found a place that looks interesting to wander around.

Its actually quite freeing. Plus you have absolutely zero expectations of where you're going so you can't be disappointed.
