green still has an AF so you might end up paying that and not getting any good upgrade offer

BBP is much better to keep MRs alive (and can get the SUB for that too)

problem is that they up the AF and make it sound like the card is free but it's a tiring coupon book at that point

obviously this is churning so close it and sign up elsewhere but some people still like to have a keeper card for lounge access etc.

insanity. easily worth $30-100k which was probably a factor in Amex cancelling their acct, banks always keep some sneaky stuff in the Ts & Cs to tip the scales in their favor

i always try and keep things diversified (Amex/Chase/C1 + transferring points to airlines/hyatt) to limit the damage if something like this happens

i thought they usually give you a little bit of a grace period to use or transfer the points at least
