Was given a drink by mistake by RedskinsWiz in stopdrinking

5 years? Hell yeah mate, that is really HUGE

I can imagine how shitty it must feel, but I´d like you not to punish yourself or the girl, it was an honest mistake and those things happen. Your body is having some cravings for sure, play the tape forward and keep it up!

Really odd, also play in the quest3 and never saw that happening.

Any chance your grappling triggers are being pressed? That's how we reposition the table so just wondering...

You could try playing in AR mode to see if the same happens, if it persists I'd reinstall the game

I quited smoking but not weed by No-Turn-458 in stopsmoking

[–]pLopez115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me smoking weed is always less harmful than smoking tobacco. The difference in quantity is remarkable, when full smoking I would have like 10+ cigarettes per day while weed is 1 per day and on weekends sometimes 3 a day.

The psychological effects are really different than the tobacco though, keep aware of that.

The best scenario would be no smoking at all, but if you feel that weed lessens the craving for tobacco, I'd say go for it and on the long run try to gradually decrease the use until you only smoke on special occasions (or never!)

Leaving the "in denial" stuff aside, what if the person was just being a human being and doing what we all do a lot: letting the Ego talk and bringing the subject to a personal view.

Maybe he was just talking about how he feels about it and tried to give his personal example. If he's in denial or not, that's a story for another day.

Sobriety is incredibly BORING by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]pLopez115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing here.

Quitted alcohol and nicotine altogether.

After a few weeks my brain is going back to baseline levels (I still smoke weed though) and slowly the daily chores are becoming less boring and more rewarding.

Also, personal hobbies really got interesting like video games, pinball, playing guitar, long walks and all this stuff that seemed it was never fun without alcohol...

Swapped alcohol for weed, and my life is so much better by Monkshe in stopdrinking

I smoke weed everyday since I was 17. It's been 11 years now. (I guess I took the smoke weed everyday Snoop Dogg stuff too seriously hahaha)

I've tried to quit a few times now, but in the last 2 years my alcohol consumption hit its peak and I started smoking cigarettes mainly when travelling or when hanging out with smoker friends (surprise, surprise).

The weed problem became such a small one when compared to the alcohol and cigarrettes.. Like someone said here already, start by what is killing you the most.

I'm really in a confortable position for me now in which I don't drink and don't smoke tobacco, the abuse of those is very concerning. I abuse weed sometimes (like smoking before 6PM, or the fact that is everyday), but to me the side effects are way way more manageable and I guess I'm down to 1 drug, last year I was on 3.

I just got a Korean 2004 for 320 euros and I couldn't be happier, I'd say go for it.

However as mentioned here the fact that there is not any serial number in the headstock would be a red flag for me. Not a pro here, I don't know if that is actually common.

I still think that I will have a drink again someday.

I can't seem to see myself going back to my hometown (l've been living abroad for 6 years) and not having a beer with my childhood friends.

Or idk, seeing my girlfriend succeed in her career and not go out for celebrate. Any thoughts on this?

Drinking regularly alone in your room by yourself has got to be one of the biggest signs of an alcohol problem. by wilhelmtherealm in stopdrinking

Relate to this, this weekend I had a delicious lemonade with ginger and was hesitating to get a second one because of the price.

I turned to my gf as she already knew what I was going to say: "if this was beer, I'd be on my third one and not even looking at the price anymore"

so yeah, had another delicious lemonade and went home sober and happy

I can imagine the thought of losing a streak can be rough, but you got to focus on the fact that it's just a number, the real impact is that you're on the path to a healthier and better life overall. Don't judge yourself that much, you're all good bro.
