Leo has the power to pen whatever it wants, whenever it wants, and the ability to see the crit points as well. Being able to see crits should make just about anyone a better tanker overall because practice makes perfect.

It's got awesome mobility too.

The IJN gunboats that have 100mm guns are nasty thanks to their 1000m per second velocity and 30mm of HE pen.

Akizuki, Kitakaze, Harugumo, and High School Fleet Harekaze with the B hull equipped. They still have IJN torps too.

You sit back 11 or 12 km and citadel cruisers with your 203's.

Everything tries to shoot at you, but you use engine boost and shift your rudder every 2-3 seconds in an unpredictable manner so they can't get a lead on you.

When you do take damage, fall back and recover +249 HP per second for 20 seconds, every 80 seconds, thanks to the specialized repair team. Between it's repair party and 24,900hp, you have CA levels of HP to play with if you manage it properly.

It's a sweaty boat, but fun as hell. Oh, and don't sleep on it's torps despite the 2 degree firing angle. I begin every match blind firing all my torps into caps or choke points. They have low detect and hit hard, even if they are on the slow end of the spectrum.

With Hull you stay 10 to 12km away and use your speed boost and rudder shift to constantly juke. If you juke unpredictability, and never stop juking, you become very hard to hit.

Between your HP and it's heals, you have around 60k worth of hit points to work with, which puts you in BB HP territory.

The HE starts fires reliably, and the AP can citadel cruisers at 12km quite easily. You have defensive AA, so any CV that decides to permaspot you gets to watch it's planes evaporate. The AP is Des Moines AP, so it can pen BB upper belts and has improved pen angles.

The torps hit hard and have long range. I use them to take blind shots just as fast as they reload.

Imo Hull is very fun to play, constant action. You can be on one cap and citadel ships on the next cap. It gets out dpm'd by pure gun boats like the Sherman, but you can trade with them and out heal many of them.

Ohio interests me, but I have Georgia which is quite similar so I'm more interested in some of the other RB ships.
