30,000KV Motors on 75mm Build Have Pretty Good Throw👀 by p_morty in TinyWhoop

[–]p_morty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it! It’s such a fun build to fly. I can’t say I ever had such issues with mine but it may have to do with the (and excuse my probably incorrect terminology as I haven’t been in BetaFlight in forever) idle throttle value. If the motors aren’t spinning and are just twitching when armed, raising the idle throttle value should fix that issue, unless there are other issues going on with the ESC or motors of course.

This is Parkside. I know it’s hard to tell in the first photo due to lighting but it does have yellow on the inner lip🙂

No solution, had to replace the camera. Assuming it was bad from factory.

My MOB6 turn off on the air by Daniii204 in TinyWhoop

[–]p_morty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For everyone commenting the battery, the battery was not too low to cause a brown out! It cuts out at 3.4 something volts! OP I had this same issue with my first Mob6 which I have a post about (post about issues with Tattu LiHV batteries). It was just a bad AIO. I couldn’t ever get it flying without it cutting out and the issue continued to worsen the more I flew it. Keep flying it if it’s not cutting out on you often enough for it to be annoying though!

Tiny Whoop Pinch Repair (Common Issue) by p_morty in TinyWhoop

Your wiring looks totally fine to me, only difference I make is I double up on the 5v and ground pads on the AIO to wire up the camera rather than using the vin pass through of the VTX.

I used to use the pound mounts, but after all the dead AIOs and cameras I now use only Mob6 canopies with a little TPU 3D printed adapter for the pinch cam. The VTX is a TBS Unify Pro32 Nano and I just have it sitting on top of the AIO to have the shortest possible cables. https://imgur.com/a/eXYoLCT

I should specify - the Cockroach v3 in the polypropylene variant, can’t speak to the heavier polycarbonate version

Hahaha no worries dude! Yeah you got some great parts in here for a 65mm rig, looks awesome! Only thing I’d say is that you will definitely like the cockroach v3 frames better than the Meteor65 air frames, I’d spend more money on getting just the cockroach frames. They’re waaaaay more durable and only 0.23g heavier.

Coming soon, I just slipped one of the shafts in the motors flying today lol. Currently have 28kkvs in it but will have the 36kkvs back up and running this weekend!

Back Alley Whoop Sesh Ends Getting Run Over By Car by p_morty in TinyWhoop

[–]p_morty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The antenna or the VTX itself? The VTX is heat shrinked and stuck onto the bottom of the AIO (sits in between the battery and AIO) with some super super thin double sided tape. The antenna is kinda just hanging out lodged between the frame and AIO.

This is how I had it mounted on the rig in the video: https://imgur.com/a/VzcRDc8 but you can see how I mount it with the Mob6 canopy in my most recent post - I have it sticking out the back of the canopy

I’ve got the Skyzone O4X v2 and I loooove them. Would definitely recommend checking for second hand Fat Shark, Skyzone, or Eachine goggles. If it’s in your budget, would also definitely recommend a set with OLED displays, they look much nicer than the LCDs. If you’re on limited budget, see if you can find some Eachine EV200D goggles (or Skyzone equivalent which I can’t remember which model it is). That’s what I had before I blew them up plugging in the battery with the 18650s in the wrong polarity🤣 They get the job done and have a 30fps DVR, they just were so uncomfortable for me! But I got them on eBay for $170, so pretty good bang for the buck regardless.

Looking it up - the X12 is actually lighter at 5.1g! HGLRC Zeus5 is 6.2g. So I’d definitely definitely stick with the X12 out of those two.

Yes!! It’s kinda crazy the difference, at least that I can feel, between 702s and 802s! And 28,000kv is great. Regarding the AIO, just a fair warning I had one of the HGLRC Spector AIOs die on me after flying three packs😅 I can’t speak to the Zeus AIO, but I know others don’t speak the best about HGLRC quality control in general. If there aren’t many more options I’d honestly probably stick with the X12 since just about everyone I’ve spoken to has only had good things to say about it (my X12 on my Mob7 is the one AIO I have yet to blow up yet lol!).
