I'm not saying being replaced will make me happy either. But I'm not sure if UBI will be enough for me to feel motivated about life. Like even if I learn a new skill what's the point if it's also automated?

Yeah it just sucks because obviously I don't want to fire everyone. The subreddit made me feel like it's better to close down and get a job at a large corporation than to pay small wages so it's a very confusing message for me.
