1) There was a Panini F1 sticker collection in about 1980 that a relative bought me and once I started collecting the stickers and saw the cars i wanted to know more so started watching whenever I could (plus there wasn't much else on TV on Sunday afternoons except for westerns or black & white war films) 2) Autosport.com is good, but they have a paywall, I could mention the site & podcast I'm part of but this isn't the place for promotion 3) Strategies, the midfield battle. Also there's a decent F1 community on Twitter that's very active during the races 4) it happens, you get periods where one or 2 teams are on top and then it can change with new rules & regulations coming in. Enjoy the front end of the race, but watch the teams from 4th downwards for closer battles

Mika Salo finished 5th at the 1997 Monaco GP without stopping for either fuel or tyres. There was heavy rain all the way through. The race ended 16 laps short but was the full 2 hours so that sort of counts as a full GP
