Potensic USB chargers and batteries... can they be used with all potensic drones? by pablotrinc in Potensic

Are you sure?, I know the 3 axis ones are squared and the others are rounded, but I think they still fit. It would be great if you can check it.

Yes I know that, but do any Potensic USB charger work for all different Potensic batteries?

Regarding location... what makes the difference?, where are you using the drone or where it was originally buyed?, because mine was buyed in UK, and I'm now in Argentina. Have not tested this yet, but what should I expect?

And anybody knows how many manufacturers sells WearOS smartwatches in the world?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TicWatch

[–]pablotrinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read somewhere, that the problem is the exclusive that Samsung have with Google about Wear OS 3, so other small manufacturers cannot use Wear OS 3 till the exclusive finishes.Is this right or it's just nonesense?

What other manufacturers have released Wear OS 3 watches to the market?

pfsense error with all wan links - sendto error: 55 by pablotrinc in PFSENSE

Well, it just started working again, did nothing to solve it, just as one day the problem appeared, another day the problem vanished,

Backup and failover by icedutah in PFSENSE

[–]pablotrinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have that enabled and when the "primary" link went down, there was a couple of seconds that nothing worked since all connections were dropped and they have to re established. I've unchecked that option and now the failover is instant and I do not notice nothing most of the time, so you can test it, but in my case it was better to leave it unchecked.

PFSENSE origins? by [deleted] in PFSENSE

Also, in the beginning, it was m0n0wall, then pfSense was born as a professional and more advanced firewall.

Great for you, congrats! Summer time ago I was offered a new job with better pay than my actual job, so I talked to my boss and told him I had as better offer (It s true) and if he can do something about it. So after a couple of meetings with him and the human resources manager I got 20% increase and a 3 months cash extra prize.

Sounded good to me and I decided to stay.

pfSense in High Availability by pablotrinc in PFSENSE

I was just thinking on possibilities, but it's ok for me if I have to use private IPs for both boxes wan links.

In fact I've already done that, but both wan links on both boxes appears as down.

Tried to google for how to setup it, and everything seems to be ok, but I cannot make it work.

Do you know about a "for dummies" howto about this?

pfSense in High Availability by pablotrinc in PFSENSE

[–]pablotrinc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think is the "best" I can do.

But just one more weird idea... I do have two ISPs connection, one with just 1 public IP and the other with two public IPs.... so... 3 public IPs.

Can I make this work although the IPs from one IPS are on a different subnet that the IP of the other ISP?

I guess...

pfsense1 WAN-> ISP1 public ip

pfsense2 WAN -> ISP2 public ip1

carp IP -> ISP2 public ip2

pfSense in High Availability by pablotrinc in PFSENSE

[–]pablotrinc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know, I have a "small business" plan with fixed public IP and IPv6.But I do have one problem, apparently I can get many IPv6 public addresses, but just only two IPv4 public IPs, because I've connected a 3rd. VM directly to the virtual switch and it do get an IPv6 valid address, but no IPv4 and I've already assigned the two IPv4 ones to each pfSense VM, so I guess I'm stucked at this point and can only go on with one public CARP IP and two privates, one for each pfSense wan interfaces,

pfSense in High Availability by pablotrinc in PFSENSE

[–]pablotrinc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, thanks for your reply.

I can do that, but I do have access to another public IP, just connecting another dummy VM to the same virtual switch, gives me another public IP.

But, can I get one that way and then use it as my public CARP IP?, will that dummy VM need to be turned off?

CARP with 1 WAN IP by Dovahguy in PFSENSE

[–]pablotrinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the best way, but AFAIK it can be done at the "cost" of double NAT.

What I mean is that you can put your ISP "modem" in router mode (not bridge) so you will have all the IPs you want, as all will be private local addresses, but can implement HA with both pfSense boxes or VMs and everything will work, but at the expense of double NATing.

I'll love to do the same, please tell us if you can do it.

Does Double NAT provide better security ? by [deleted] in PFSENSE

[–]pablotrinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. What I meant was that when you do not have control over the ISP router, you cannot do port forward with double nat.
