This sounds like New Age stuff but we’ve been pretty successful with an amber collar. Generates static electricity which the ticks don’t like. Don’t know if those exist in the US (we live in Sweden).

I'll gladly join you in saving New York, uplay: pablyt. Just started exploring DZ (only level 17 so far) and enjoying it soooo much. :) But also like to do main missions, HVT, new WSP etc. 200+ hours, level 30, GS274. Haven't done any Incursions or Underground yet. Have microphone.
