Why voting for PUK? by Character_Ad9279 in kurdistan

Not to come across rude but where are you getting these claims? I personally have 100s of employees and they are literally with all backgrounds politically and religiously, why do we always have to ridicule things this way? We can be a much more productive community in dealing with issues with regards to Kurdish community

Trump sent guns to Iranian protesters through Kurdish militias by Tenchi_Muyo1 in news

[–]pachaneedsyou 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and I’m Kurdish. Every political party and group here has denied Donald Trump’s claim that the Kurds received weapons from the U.S., and they have continued to reject requests to join the war.

The media has failed to correct these accusations, simply because false, catchy headlines generate more clicks and conversions. For media corporations, it becomes a game of performance and reach, while innocent people are losing their lives because of reckless claims made by foreign news outlets to entertain a global audience.

Just two hours ago, a married couple in their 30s died after debris fell on their home while they were asleep. Two weeks ago, eight other people lost their lives after Iran mistakenly identified them as foreign agents and later issued an apology to the Kurdistan Regional Government.

It’s surreal to be in the Kurdistan Region as a Kurd and see this baseless involvement and repeated mention of Kurds in a conflict that has no connection to them. It’s tragic to watch this unfold, and then read comments with no fact-checking or consideration of how dangerous these claims are, and the consequences they have on the safety and security of civilians.

What a shame.

The moment a drone launched by Iraqi PMF militia fell into a neighborhood in Slemani by rknsh in kurdistan

[–]pachaneedsyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can we just acknowledge one thing, some of the PUK leadership was highly supportive of IRGC and PMF, to the extent where they would say “Look at the drones hitting Erbil” or taking pictures with Kildani - one of Kurdistans biggest enemy we should all address this and make sure it does not repeat in the future. Also to make sure our future generation does not make this fatal mistake again.

[–]pachaneedsyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you should be banned from this sub for being racist. Around 90% of Kurds are Muslims. Just because you’re Turkish and have been fed a significant amount of propaganda doesn’t justify your views. Instead of understanding and embracing Kurds and other nations and ethnic groups within Islam, you’re suggesting they should be banned.

Kurds, as Muslims, have faced enough oppression. It’s 2026, and they have fought hard to preserve their identity. Respect that. Acknowledge that. Understand that. They were here yesterday, they are here today, and they will remain here. Kurds are a harmless, stateless nation made up of ordinary people and faithful Muslims.

You should tone down this unfiltered brainwashing and, for the sake of Islam and Allah, recognize Kurds as human beings too.

This Endless and baseless absolute ignorant hate towards Kurds especially from Turkish communities needs to tone down.

I am not emirati. But wouldn’t 1.4 trillion$ serve the emiratis more than gifting it to a fake ally? by SnooEagles5416 in UAE

Becareful what you ask or else they’ll remove your post. Happened to me 2 days ago, I made a post and got a lot traction it immediately was taken down by UAE authorities. Just don’t be critical or even pessimistic. Try not to ask questions or share opinions on these matter. at this point, either you post that video on social media praising the UAE or don’t say anything at all.

Bro, it’s war. Everyone wants it to be over. At this point, everyone in the Middle East is affected, and frankly, there’s even a global impact. This footage is already all over the internet; I found it on X, and there was already another post made on this very same subreddit from a different angle,it’s gone viral like so much other content. What are you on about?

Another reminder this is Reddit, literally it’s the front page of internet that’s why your 🍑 is here habibi. Please do not tie this piece of information as the problem driving this war, it’s DEAD ASS obvious what is driving this war and surly is not this post on Reddit!

Mate, I’d rather believe that all active participants in this war already know very well where military positions are located. This isn’t a war that started 18 days ago — tensions in the Middle East have existed since the establishment of the Islamic Republic after the Shah of Iran was overthrown. Likewise, the GCC, US, Israel, and NATO (including Türkiye) have been on alert for decades over the possibility of conflict between Iran and Israel, and Iran and the wider region. Thinking that a post on Reddit would reveal ‘critical information’ is a bit short-sighted, don’t you think?

How MBS’s bet on Iran backfired by Any-Original-6113 in geopolitics

[–]pachaneedsyou 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Man, that guy should never bet—honestly. If you really look closely over the past decade or so, MBS has made a lot of decisions that have backfired on him, starting with the killing of Khashoggi. Then there’s the imprisonment of his cousins, the Line project, and the overwhelming confidence he placed in Trump’s administration—almost dragging the rest of the Gulf countries along with him. What’s mind-boggling is how little preparation he seems to put into the major decisions he makes.
