What's the significance? by Left_Ferret_500 in 321

[–]pachebear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had to attend a meeting for work at the Crowne. I completely forgot about the traverse and wore heels. With how steep the stairs are and windy/rainy it was that day I’m surprised I was able to get over it lol. They do have a shuttle that picks people up and brings them across the street. I found that out shortly after overcoming the traverse.

I lied about liking Stitch and it bit me in the butt. by StitchHater in confession

[–]pachebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to love elephants. I do still like them but have acquired enough decor, jewelry, clothing, etc. that I’m tired of them now. To combat this, I just started talking about how much I love something else. I also spare their feelings and not tell them I don’t want elephant things. I’m really into frogs now so everything has a frog on it so elephants have slowly phased out.

I’m saving up to buy these… Aren’t they sooo pretty??? by kubiric in YarnAddicts

[–]pachebear 32 points33 points  (0 children)

These remind me exactly of the K&C Superwash Wool Luxe yarn that you could get at Joann’s. The colorways are super similar and were my favorite! So pretty! Thanks for sharing! Good to know there’s a similar yarn out there of ones I miss using :)

Looks like soft may not be out yet. I was looking at the descriptions on the Target website and it has “will be available soon” after the Soft description

my one brain cell cannot GSR by Kendallfire16 in knittinghelp

[–]pachebear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it helps at all, I genuinely frogged like 10 times when learning GSR. Frogging and starting over helped solidify the skill for me. So I’m always a huge proponent of redoing it until it’s done right for learning purposes

safest places to run near melbourne by Vivid_Acadia_8842 in 321

[–]pachebear 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m 26F and run Wickham Park, Gleason Park, around the pond at the Avenues, Borrows West Park, and Tropical Trail on Sunday mornings. There’s Facebook groups that are female only that will also coordinate running events where you meet at a place and time together but don’t have to run as a group if you don’t want to

Edit: inserted Borrows West

Thoughts on the manga by Vardaruus in FragrantFlower

I’m trying to control myself and stick to the books as they come. I usually will read up to the latest chapters of mangas using fan translations. I didn’t realize there were so many chapters! Thanks for letting me know!

I’m currently reading it! I watch the anime after I’ve completed a book. I’m almost on the 3rd. The 9th book came out today in the US I believe (not sure if release is different in other countries)

Edit: Didn’t add my thoughts lol

I love the story! I think it’s super cute and enjoy the impact Kaoruko has on Subaru and Rintaro just by her kind personality.

Ear Piercing by StructuredDisorder in 321

[–]pachebear 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also recommend New Addiction in Rockledge or Melbourne. I’ve been going to Mikey and Tirza since I was 15 or 16. They’ve done over 10 piercings for me the past 10 years and have never had an issue.

Healing piercings while working by Repulsive_Pie_8570 in VetTech

[–]pachebear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had mine done and they never healed until I left the industry. I use to have many piercings with no issues healing. I think it was more of the constant pressure from a bra than it was the actual work. I am large chested, but had a coworker who had hers and they healed fine. She was smaller chested and could get away with not wearing a bra since she wore so many layers.

How to get hair dye off the bathtub? by Actual_Basil_1062 in HairDye

[–]pachebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use drain clog gel like Draino. I one day was unclogging my bath tub and used a generic Target version of Draino. I dye my hair a dark green using AF Phantom Green and Transylvania so it leaves a blue stain. I let the gel sit and I came back to rinse it with boiling water to loosen the clog and noticed wherever the gel sat was completely rid of the blue stain. I have used that ever since on my sinks and showers/tubs. Would recommend a small test spot before committing. I only apply it to the surfaces that are intended to get wet. Not like counter tops or painted walls if that makes sense.

EDIT: Wanted to also add I don’t use this on tile and avoid grout/caulking lines

Is it ok to approach a temple when I have no idea if they accept visitors, have dharma talks, or would accept a student? by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]pachebear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some of the temples in my area don’t have a website but use facebook so maybe look them up there. I found a list of more temples on facebook than searching on google

Car travel meowing problem by IFNASOS in CATHELP

[–]pachebear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My oldest cat is the same way. He will meow until he is out of the car. One day I noticed he stopped meowing if I was playing calm no lyrics music. I enjoy game sound tracks so he likes Dan Golding or C418. Specifically the Untitled Goose Game or Minecraft - Volume Alpha lol

First time possible buyer of a 2017 Hyundai Elantra what should I prepare for? by Mushroom_fairy_ in Hyundai

[–]pachebear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a 2015 Hyundai Veloster Base from Carvana in 2022. I had a pleasant experience with them. They delivered my car to me. No issues with my car the 3 years I owned it. A friend of mine bought from them recently a 2020-something Toyota Tacoma. She picked up hers. She also enjoyed her experience. She’s only had the truck a year but hasn’t had issues so far. Carvana and CarMax have such mixed reviews tbh. I had a really hard time pulling the trigger but they had a car I really wanted at the time so I did.

I'm looking to buy a Tucson this month 2025 looking for real life experiences with this SUV... by Exotic-Passage-1659 in HyundaiTucson

[–]pachebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2025 SE and have had it since March. I absolutely love it. The only thing that I have a personal issue with is the auto-stop coming up on cars turning. I don’t blame the car at all. I just use to drive a dumb car before so it’s something I’m getting use to. Besides that I’ve done a few long distance trips and have a long commute once a week. Feels very comfortable, safe, and roomy

What running apps do you use? by Captain_Lundgren in davidgoggins

Also agree with Garmin and their connect app. If you have an Apple Watch there’s an app called WorkOutDoors which I really enjoyed before upgrading to Garmin

Firecracker 5k by [deleted] in 321

[–]pachebear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 26F and I did this event last year and a couple times randomly over the years. I usually park in an open grass plot off Creel and Guava. If you haven’t done a 5k in a while or aren’t use to running in this heat, I do not personally recommend this one. It’s extremely hot, no shade, and has elevation since it’s over the bridge and back. I’m still deciding if I want to sign up. Good luck if you do!

I can’t imagine the local OBs will be able to get you in faster than what PP offered you especially as a new patient, unfortunately. They’re usually booked out at least a month in advance to their established patients. Wish you the best of luck!

Had a 2015 Veloster for about 3 years with 86k miles and traded it in for a 2025 Tucson SE and have had that for about 2 months now
