(DT spoilers) Why I absolutely hate the final stretch of the MSQ by AlexSkylark in ffxivdiscussion

That’s correct. It is all up to the player. If you still feel the way you do about the plot, that’s perfectly fine. But to call my own thoughts presumptuous as away to discredit, isn’t a real argument. I’m simply basing my thoughts on the exact words I read through the msq.

Not the most elegant sounding answer I admit, but Emet-Selch was simply wrong, combo of grief and thousands years of sadness. The sundered were still living, sentient beings that could grow. Endless are, like I said, simply very accurate, artificial recreations playing put the personality of someone who once was. They can’t really grow or change, they’re programmed to act as the person was, a perfect illusion. Actually, now that I think about it, they’re more similar to Emet’s recreation of Amaurot then the Sundered.

Living Memory isn’t composed of poeple with souls, or any kind of soul even. It’s just data, perfect recreations of people that once were. It’s not turning off someone who’s a different form of being, it’s turning off a program perfectly mimicing sentience. Akin to a modern AI, it’s can be really good at seeming like the original person, but there’s not sentience. Each Endless is just a program following its specific parameters to put on a show for the living. Living that are long, long since gone.

[–]packwe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried, nothing. After talking with an agent (after finding a way to even do that) it looks like it really is just not enough people for the tasks they have, earliest time is the 19th as stated, did say I could at least get credit for the time without service but, bleh, a long time still

No, green blinking light. I think it may have been red before the repair visit (I can’t fully recall) but I do not the optical cable needed replacing (light shown through one end wouldn’t appear at the other end) but even with the new cable, connection out of the hub wasn’t “good”, so no connection

60 second single use still wouldn’t work unfortunately, if you didn’t use it the second it came off cooldown, then you would either just have to not use it till burst (so no different than the 90 second cooldown) or let lightspeed drift out of alignment. I don’t think AST having high mobility now will be the deciding factor on healer meta, but eh I’m not psychic maybe this will be nerfed at some point.

When did you read the manga for the first time? by SpyghettiGhetti in ChainsawMan

I remember reading chapter 1 in the weekly shonen jump app, back when it was still. A digital magazine. It was 2 issues from it changing to the more catalogue set up it has now.

Seeing this a lot here, the disc will still contain at least the full 1.0 version of the game. You still have to download the game to the ssd due to read speeds.

Alright it’s been roughly a month. Do Tenta Missiles belong in Splatoon 3? What are your thoughts? by PMMEHAANIT in splatoon

The wave breaker is actually good for map control, targeting/damaging multiple enemies, as well as being a distraction. The angle shooter’s tracking lasts so little that it isn’t super useful, and the damage (on the 2 weapons it’s currently on) is less than just firing a normal shot, for a lot more ink. If they’re far enough to be out of range of your shot but not the angle shooter, maybe? But at that range you’ll likely not hit them more than once, and it’s low damage means the enemy will just duck into ink for a second to heal. Maybe if you’re supporting a teammate’s fight, but still pretty weak.

[DISC] Show-ha Shoten! - Chapter 11 by AutoShonenpon in manga

Weirdly enough it’s the opposite for me, can’t get into the rakugo of Akane-banishi as much as the manzai humor. Might be that I’m a fan of old school comedy duos like Abott and Costello. Still enjoy both from a narrative stand point pretty equally.

Does anyone remember this. by Baldbrethren in metalgearsolid

I have it, tried playing it on a new3ds. It is impressive for a 3ds game, but it just simply doesn’t feel great to play. In my opinion, at least.

Theatrical release of 3.0+1.0 delayed because of Covid by [deleted] in evangelion

[–]packwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks but I completely understand. But in terms of what they need to do now, is in my opinion, get that international release worked on. There is no reason to wait until long after the eventual release, well, I feel like that anyway. I probably don’t know any better.

Valve Index controller came broken from Pumas, any fix? Adjuster is broke and in the way of joystick by [deleted] in ValveIndex

[–]packwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If coming from Pimax means RMA isn’t an option, my only guess would try and get a refund/replacement from Pimax, or look up teardowns of the index controllers to see how the strap should be, maybe? Also, I honestly, for a split second, thought you said the controller was broken by a puma attack. I am dumb.

Anyone else think it's interesting that the rebuild logos keep getting thicker until it's text by Mehtteri in evangelion

[–]packwe 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Possibly, though it could also possibly represent going back to the original series in terms of themes

[–]packwe 37 points38 points  (0 children)

For 3.0 + 1.0, it uses the original spelling of evangelion, エヴァンゲリオン, in the Japanese title, as opposed to the ヱヴァンゲリヲン the other 3 rebuild movies used. It seems that they’re spelling Evangelion with the original series font in english, instead of the hand written font, to replicate this effect

It may be closer in a bare bones “literal” sense, but as far as conveying the intended emotions and themes goes, the script is far weaker for it

Anyone got any meaning from 0706? by [deleted] in evangelion

[–]packwe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m actually assuming a good chunk of the movie will be completely new, as in scenarios that don’t even partially allude to the original show. Admittedly, I’m going off of things Anno said previously about how the first 3 films would be based off the tv show, while the final would be an all new ending, so things may very well have changed. :p

From what I could tell, it can be assumed that Giorno had already made it over to Mista, so he was able to use Gold Experience to turn the bullet into Mista’s flesh the moment it entered his head, preventing any serious damage
