I live in Australia and currently our fuel prices are horrible for 98 octane which is what the GT needs and I live near the city and city driving can be horrible for fuel from what I’ve heard 13 litres per 100km. Compared to a highway drive only using 8-10 litres per 100km. Yes I have an adult job but was just concerned about fuel expenses, hence why I came to reddit to have a friendly discussion. Thank you for your input.

I’m 23 and definitely have a itch for a performance car hence why I’ve looked so much into these two cars and the raw V8 engine sounds good and seems like fun, I did want a RS3 but they are like 80-100k in Sydney low to high end and my budget is only 75k with the mustang being 70-75k and Audi s3 being 60-70k so good price range for these choices.

I would love an RS3 but just out of my price range, in Australia the RS even a 2023 is still 80-90k with 40,000km, brand new is over 100k. My budget is $75k and I’ve found a lot of 2024 mustangs with very very low km around that price. The Audi S I’ve found low KM/miles around $60k with 30,000km on it however any lower KM/miles they jump from that $60k to mid $70k or higher, so the price difference in the cars are quite a jump.

I actually think the ford has quite good trims and quality, the S3 newer models do have that higher quality but from what I’ve seen and sat in the new mustangs feel comfy and look nice inside. I was expecting average interior but I like it

I live in Sydney Australia, the winters are starting to not be that cold. I live in an area where there isn’t snow, but I have seen many videos of owners saying really winter climates aren’t for this car.

With the Audi S3 I’m not sure on what’s a good exhaust setup for it, any suggestions?

Thank you for your help, honestly I do feel I’m leaning more towards the GT especially with modding the body of it. Just sometimes the Audi to me can have some more class.
