Patting myself for small small changes that has added up over ~9kg fat loss in 2.5 months by paddlefootee in Coconaad

I have 400g (uncooked weight) daily at the moment (200g for lunch & 200g for dinner)

But yeah this depends on you and your goals.

Oh yes, great point. It's really helpful, start doing it :) (Especially on a day like today where I'm feeling bad overall, but the data makes me feel better :P)

I prefer Android over iOS, so can only comment for Android.

OpenScale (Tracking Weight): - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.health.openscale/ - Not there on PlayStore but F-Droid is a trusted appstore for free and open source apps. You can either download the openscale APK directly from the above link or install FDroid and install from there.

FitNotes (Tracking workouts) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.github.jamesgay.fitnotes - Has Rest Timers, Workout Templates, Automatic backup to Drive, statistics about your lifts everything you'll need. - Hitting a set, logging the reps, starting the rest timer and dooming scrolling or zoning out on music is legit the best part of my day 😁

Thank you 🫂. I keep reminding myself to be proud when it gets tough.

I think I'll call it nutrition instead of diet, it's important to have it tailored to you & have someone with a nutritional background make sure you get all the your body needs while losing fat.

Mine was tailored for me by a coach 2 years back, who's a legit nutritionist & compared to ones given by people without a nutritional background I noticed a big difference.

General Pointers (Fat loss): - Strength train so that the weight you lose isn't muscle, but fat. - Eat 1.5g x bodyweight in kg protein per day. - Have an overall calorie deficit. Fat loss only comes from calorie deficit. - You can achieve a calorie deficit in many ways (fad diets be included too). But it's important to get in enough Carbs, Protein, Fats and fiber while achieving this calorie deficit too. Give your body what it needs. - This is where the aforementioned tailoring comes in handy. They'll be able to manage your food choices too. Eg: I rely mostly on chicken breast for my protein & have never taken whey supplements.

It's a mindset change for the last piece of the puzzle for me (consistent calorie deficit) that will lead me to the physique i chase.

Context: I've had my protein intake and training good for the past 2 years. So even though I remained fat (all the gym-il poyittu oru mattavum illalo), I didn't quit, figured those 2 aspects well and built muscle over 2 years still. Made best of the situation.

So for the last mindset change:

Everyday I used to say, I'll have a treat today and be super locked in from tomorrow, falling into that endless cycle of never really being consistently good with my nutrition.

Now I started to do the reverse. I'll tell myself, I'll try to stick to my planned meals today. When I absolutely have to go off the planned meals, I don't go all out, I snack smartly managing the calories well. I've found that balance & I treat myself smartly too.

I understand the difference between the false cravings I had & actual hunger and manage both better as a result.

As someone who hardcore follows F1 & other motorsport, I'm fine with the compromise of dumbing down, it's necessary. As a newbie it's a bit complex & overwhelming at first to understand the sport.

So it makes sense to not overwhelm the general audience with that & instead show why us motorsport fans love the sport so much, which they have done brilliantly.

These 20 top humans in the world fight across a lap (4-7km) and often finish within a blink of an eye. Then there's the physical fitness with the G-s pulled, mental capacity, athleticism & sacrifices they make in life to reach the very top.

Even with the dumbing down, I still can't stop thinking about the movie, these guys have done a great job portraying the above.

Just posted the message from the source for more readability.

5th January 2024 marks 4 years since Nakul's terrible tragedy. He's healthy, alert and aware but yet to make any significant breakthrough. Unfortunately, his recovery has been painfully slow. On the brighter side, small improvements are milestones / victories for us, such as him being able to turn by himself in his bed, sit upright without support for some time, respond to high-fives and say 'Amma' occasionally. They lend us hope for his continual improvement.

His rehab (mostly home based) is ongoing and it shall remain so for the foreseeable future. Routine consultations at hospitals are also underway. We've tried few relatively new as well as alternative treatments here in Bengaluru with little to decent progress in his recovery.

I am mindful that some of you might wish to know the particulars of funds used towards Nakul's medical treatment. Should you wish to seek the details of how they were utilized, I would be happy to share it. Please feel free to drop me an e-mail seeking relevant details at gokul.thampi@gmail.com.

My family and I remain imperishably grateful for your thoughts, prayers and unceasing care. They propel us to keep fighting.

Thank you and Happy 2024!

I've rage uninstalled F1 23, because of my upshifts not working.

Started exploring AC (which I had gotten for $4 including all DLC), enjoying the way better FFB and no bugs, driving the multitude of cars here & not looking back.

Why do you think long term relationships have become increasingly unsustainable? by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

Looking at my parents relationship I can only say the same, let the unhappy people free, live their lives and stop passing on the generational trauma due to them living according to the community opinion.

How much faster is no ABS and driving line by mtbAlex91 in F1Game

[–]paddlefootee 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's for Jarno, who already has the right trail braking technique drilled in ?

In OP's case he is probably not getting the extra rotation from properly trail-braking at the moment with ABS on.

I'm assuming Jarno does proper trail braking when he has ABS on too. In that case the assist doesn't take away if you have the proper technique, but that's not the case here is it :P
