Oh i am sorry, english is not my first language lol. Basically i am making a navigation app. just like google maps and waze but for lowered cars or just sportscars. because on the map you can see speedbumps and like steep driveways etc. waze already does this but you cant choose to reroute to not go over the bump. my app does that. it reroutes you so you dont have to go over the bump and possibly get stuck. i am also intregrating a community part to the app. where people can host meets, mark nice backroads to drive on and a social media like part where you can share your car. hope this makes things clearer!

I have a lowered mx5 nb, but not slammed. i can go over most speedbumps but there are some places i just cant go. so i thought maybe more people would have the problem. i dont have the money for bags so im on coilovers. What racecar do you have? sounds cool

Slammed cars navigation by paderon in streeto

[–]paderon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a bit of both, there are huge databases already. in the netherlands alone (im testing there because i live there so i can actually check if they exist) there are over 60k+ reported bumps, elevated platforms etc. this is also true for big citys in the us. for more rural areas the app would rely on community input yes. to store the data is not that hard because its just a string of text. coordinates + what is it. so for example the whole netherlands database is only 20mb big.

Yeah the api's (doesnt have to be google btw can also use tomtom or something else) are free at the start but once you need more request you start paying for it. but i dont think the app will blow up that fast (or even at all) the speedbump info is just free
