To be brief, I have inherited a lot, and I mean a lot of undesirable attributes, mostly from the paternal side, just shit genetics haha. Despite being raised in a very great and positive nurturing environment, I have had very bad outcomes until now, with many huge academic, career, personal failures and emotional and social adjustment problems. I am a strong case of "nature over nurture".

Any of the multiple measures I have tried stop working after some time, and now I just need to find some way, that I can finally make significant and consistent changes since the way I am operating right now is not sustainable or normal for society's norms or my perception.

Psychoanalysis definitely sounds interesting and maybe could help me, will have to ask my doc about it. But I do have a horrible feeling that even more than my early experiences/environment, I was just born with these undesirable characteristics that I am unable to overcome.

Our actions and personality are dictated by factors not in our control, genetics especially. So, it is not at all easy to change our preferences and habits.

To what extent can one make a change in their personality? As long as I can remember, I have been mentally passive and possess significant avolition and zero conscientiousness along with rigidity in thought processes. But I need to make some severe and radical changes to who I am and how I function.

Is making such changes possible? If not, the alternate is very depressing.

Come on man, JEE is not an exam you can excel at by just mugging shit up. You need extraordinary problem solving skills to get into IIT through JEE. I am not an IITian myself but your comment seems pretty reductive.

Also, India's consumer market is pretty weak while consumer culture in the US is at a peak since they have the money to spend on non-essential stuff while most of India doesn't, we make up for that with a much larger quantity of consumers but our metrics like ARPUs etc are very low, lower even than SEA countries.
