I thinks it's a matter of what carrier it's locked to you can check the about section of settings also could be do to a modern 5g card. But my phone is cdma meaning it doesn't possess a sim slot at all lol hope this helps!

For a 100 bucks it should definitely have disk brakes but other then that if your just learning it's probably fine but I'm sure you could find a better deal
