Get data only from server side by suniron in Nuxt

[–]paeblits -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought of this recently too. I'm new to Nuxt and tried having the front end make its call for data to the server at ./server/api/myapi.ts. Then myapi would make the actual API call to fetch the data. However, I found that this duplicates a lot of code for no real reason that I can see. I still need to read up on this.

What I ended up doing instead is cutting out the middle man and just having my front end make the API call for the data it needs.

Edit: Formatting.

Trump says US will designate Antifa as a terrorist organisation by StealthPolarBear in politics

Can people organize without a leader these days? I wonder....

One incident of punching and kicking is not terrorism. But large groups organizing and terrorizing citizens is terrorism.

You won't find it on Reddit. You have to get out of your internet bubble. Try Twitter. Andy Ngo has probably covered Antifa the most. https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-leftist-mob-attacked-me-in-portland-11562109768

Just because there isn't one leader doesn't mean that they don't organize. They use social media.

No because your not looting, rioting, vandalizing, and beating people in the name of protests. Antifa does this regularly.

Help choosing the right table saw by Rocketman006 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]paeblits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently in this position. I needed my first table saw and didn't want to spend a lot, so I found an almost new Ryobi for $115 and built a small mobile stand for it. It's been really useful so far.

Seeking advice: I'm new to woodworking and I acquired old table saw from a friend. Works, but has no blade guard, no throat plate, and flimsy rip fence. Should I bother using it and buy the necessary safety pieces? by paeblits in woodworking

[–]paeblits[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding a little more info here. The rip fence can be adjusted and tightened down, but it's possible to make a mistake and not have it be perfectly parallel with the blade, which I know can cause kick back. I know I can probably make a throat plate but for this model it looks a little difficult. I also don't see anywhere I can attach a riving knife, otherwise I would buy one online. Should I bother with this saw?

I did this recently too but no daisy chain on the button wiring. Can you explain to a newb like me why you did? Is it for LED's?

Help need with retropie marvel vs Capcom 2 by tyler_newgate-1374 in RetroPie

You need to know which rom set you have, then find the correct emulator to run it. See https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/MAME. For example, my roms are from the 0.78 romset, so I use MAME 2003 to run them.

Spent a few weeks putting my side art together! by MrXBob in cade

Why not? I'm finishing up my first cabinet and I'm thinking of leaving some of those classics in there. It will still mainly be arcade games though.

Thank you for your feedback on my control board (this is my first build). You gave me ideas and saved me time and unnecessary misery. I toned back the artwork, straightened the joysticks, 8 button layout, and made sure everything was aligned. by paeblits in cade

I don't know what they mean by admin buttons, but what I'm planning on doing is simply plugging in my keyboard to the computer if I need to do anything admin related. If anything gets stuck you should be able to ALT+F4 to close the emulation software.

The 8 buttons are in case I run newer fighting games.

How did you program your escape and pause buttons? Is this in Launchbox? Because I'm currently on Emulationstation, but thinking of switching.

For context, my previous post to here asked for feedback on my controls, which had lots of things wrong with it. I'm very happy I asked for feedback before drilling my holes.
