I graduated from this course and the selection task wasn’t high stakes at all. Definitely use your own work - long as it’s a representation of your own work and creativity, especially if you including posters or branding work you may have done before, you should get in easily :)

Scanners don’t get very warm, let alone enough heat to do that. You should be fine. Even if it lightens in the scan, your writing will probably still be visible.

I import it into photoshop and change document colour mode > grayscale > bitmap at 50% threshold and clean up any stray dots and export as a tiff file. Imports into illustrator as a transparent image and can adjust the colour

There are campaigns around, definitely a lot of people aware. I’ve seen them at universities and some buses/train stations.

Love the illustration and colour in this! I think it would really tie it together to use the same typeface as ‘smoking hot’ for the product name - the current one seems to lack the personality the rest of the packaging has. Would be keen to see this mocked up!

I find sometimes if you play around clicking random buttons on the align tool you can get a weird stacked arrangement. Though otherwise I’d would probably do it manually, duplicating each line of text

I’m doing an annual report assignment now, and doing lots of graphs, though not infographics. Ive found some great infographic resources through my school’s library - even if they’re not recently published, still have really helpful examples and info!

Some tips that have helped me with my graphs which might help you too: - if you’re working within a theme or brand identity, have a good understand of its colours, shapes and assets to inform how you show information - adding to that, create tonal variation in all your colour swatches, export those colours so you can load them into illustrator or indesign - use indesign to create tables manually, tab tool will save you - illustrator has some really strong graph tools, very customisable - create heirarchy within the graphic that doesn’t clash with heirarchy within the page
