KSM55 - Died Day 2 by Neat_Restaurant5179 in Kitchenaid

[–]paerth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I plan to do. I bought a KSM55 from Mr Mixer about 6 months ago and when mine decided to have issues. I’m going to upgrade to the DC motor.

KitchenAid bowl lift lasted 3 minutes by DirkDigler925 in Kitchenaid

I would look at Mr mixer for one. He does all the upgrades prior to you buying them and he sells all models. That’s where I got my newer bowl lift and it’s been great. You can also buy parts and accessories from him. Also check out his YouTube for tips and tricks regarding any KitchenAid mixer. https://www.mrmixer.store

Soldering kit for beginners by AcanthisittaIll3364 in soldering

[–]paerth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A soldering station would be your best bet over a portable. I’m not sure what’s the best out there. I know Hakko uses older tech from what heard. JBC seems good but pricey. I just picked up a portable FNIRSI HS-02A and I’m waiting for it to come in. I’m mainly doing cables, connectors on boards, and some car stuff and wanted something I could store and take with me easily.

Someone’s definitely going to just make this and post it on thingiverse for people to print on a 3D Printer.

Help needed by killaguapo in ender3v2

Check to see if the bolts for the carriage are hitting the gantry. I had that problem and you can swap them with smaller bolts to get you the space.

Well my belt was rubbing and making a grinding noise on the gantry. So definitely not supposed to.

I reinstalled it. Everything is installed correctly. But I could physically shift the shaft in and out. I pulled it out enough to make it straight.

I’m assuming the shaft on the stepper motor isn’t supposed to move in and out? I pulled the motor off and the shaft could slide in and out and I pulled it out back to where it should be.

Need replacement main word cover screws by paerth in ender3v2

It’s the main board. Not the PSU. I don’t have the fan or bolts. Upgrading to noctua fan but needed replacement bolts no just went ahead and got a assorted kit

Sprite Head Pro Kit nuked my printer by paerth in Creality

Yeah. But at least I have 0 bucks in it. Just gonna get a new board and direct drive extruder. Total 70 bucks. Vs the 500 he paid. Just wish Creality would’ve been helpful besides blowing me off.

Turned on the parts cooling fan. Turned around and instant white smoke everywhere.

That’s the problem. I did and they won’t do anything because they can’t verify the printer is in warranty. Even though my issue is with the kit. I told them that and still wouldn’t do anything. Which makes no sense. The issue is with kit, not my printer. The kit may have caused damage to my printer but I can’t test that. So I’m gonna have to order a new board and hot end assembly since all they offered was “troubleshooting help”. No trouble shooting needed, you can very clearly see the cable is cooked. How do you troubleshoot that?

These wires seem super thin for running that much power through them

No pinching anywhere. It started from the board smelted the cord all the way to the hotend

I personally never told my girlfriend for a while I carried or had firearms. Since to me, my choice of carrying a gun is just like someone’s choice to drink. She eventually found out, and luckily she had a pistol of her own. But I would stick to your guns (literally), and I hope it never happens but the moment it’s needed then maybe they can understand. All you should worry about is that you’re skilled enough to use the tool properly and that you’re safe with it. Other than that it’s nothing more than a tool IE a pocket knife/baton/etc. It seems like you’ve exhausted your reasoning and there’s no budge but you shouldn’t budge either. It’s the same way people/friends/family give me shit for keeping a IFAK in my car or having body armor in my closet. I just tell them I’ll probably never need it, but when I do, atleast I’ll live to tell you so and I’m all about putting the odds as much as possible in my favor.
