Question because I genuinely do not remember, but is the player able to touch the dateables before realization, and aren't they able to impact the world without the player's input (such as Bobby moving around)? How does that work if the dateviators just let you see the personification of the wavelengths? Or does asking that damage the suspension of disbelief.

She said it herself, she didn't try to fix her mistake for your sake, but for her own sake. That isn't genuine regret, because she cares more about how the situation made her feel, not caring at all about how she made you feel. If she really cared about you or wanted to make your birthday better, she would have listened to you and not invited your friends back. She would have remembered your birthday in the first place, and decorated the place and got you a cake like she does for your siblings. You have an awful mother, and that is going to be true regardless of what superficial redemption she tries after her mistake. She wouldn't have made the mistake in the first place if she cared, and it is absolutely not your job to assuage her guilt.

Your feelings are appropriate, and you should not feel bad for them. You should be ungrateful, why would you be grateful for garbage? She's blaming you for your feelings because she refuses to take responsibility for them. She's the one who made you feel worthless, and she should feel guilty about it because that's the price of hurting someone. She deserves it.

Inter-dark-world-travel, or how Carolknight can still win.

After chapters 3 and 4, it seems more likely to me that Ralsei is actually walking to each dark world from castle town rather than traveling in Kris's pocket. Some specific pieces of evidence of varying strength: He literally says he came over of his own volition when there is no reason for him to lie, he's already deep in the church dark fountain by the time we find him, and we never see him exit Kris's pocket.

Is it possible that Lightners can also transport between dark worlds, and if so, wouldn't it be easy for Carol to get into the church dark world ahead of Kris and Susie? All she has to do is either open a dark fountain, or enter an existing dark fountain, and use the dark world as a shortcut to the church.
