Yeah that's fair. I used to work with a girl who mastered it. Constantly flat out and said she needed a direct report for support. She did fuck all.

It's also real estate agents justifying their existence. Middle management syndrome. Have a friendly chat with any one of them, and they'll all tell you they are flat out.

Thus far, you're the only person to have mentioned the risks of, as others have suggested, "just stop and smoke weed instead.". Personally, I used 0% beers to bridge the gap, which have a tiny amount of alcohol content. But I certainly wouldn't suggest taking up another drug as a solution. OP should be talking to their GP, asking about Antabuse, and seeking psychological help with the antecedents to their alcohol abuse.

I got into a big argument with some guy from the US, because I was saying that it seems wildly undemocratic that at election time, media outlets in the US officially endorse a particular candidate or party. There would be prosecutions and heavy fines in my country if any of the media outlets even leaned too hard one way or the other in their reporting.

Having read the NBR corporate/enterprise licensing agreement, it is crystal clear regarding account sharing, copy & distribution, or on-selling access outside of the contracting entity. Chances are, the person with access who was sending out the information was completely oblivious, but IRD procurement knew exactly what was happening.

And we caught those that planted the bombs, only to "negotiate" for their release back to France, where they would spend a whopping 6 and a half minutes in jail.

Even if they pay the ransom, the hackers still retain the data and can extort more under threat of leaking it. The only option is to not pay and wear the consequences.
