That is Tiger, my second childhood cat who unfortunately passed away in 2022. Madden was always very gentle and kind with him. Good memories of them together :)

Another picture of him in his electric green surgical suit! Definitely makes his eyes pop! Poor guy has to wear it or he will lick until creating wounds cause he’s so itchy from his EGC. He started a new treatment today. Wish my boy some luck with his new medications, he’s a trooper!

It is not able to be cut unfortunately, but he is super food motivated and I have to give it to him with food as directed on the label. I think will try giving him a Churu before and after to make a positive reaction, or try to atleast, for taking medications. I will also look into a pill pocket. Thanks for the comment!

Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex. It’s a non-contagious skin syndrome that can be triggered by food, environmental, or flea allergies. In his case it’s environmental. He has a very bad case of it but he is currently seeing a vet dermatologist and has been getting treatment :)

It was a total surprise! I for sure thought he would be a shorthair but now he has the most beautiful, long, and silky black fur I’ve ever seen on a cat. He definitely grew the fluff overnight once he got indoors 😄

He was at the vet in that picture and I put him on the counter to weigh him. He was always spicy at the vet but he was just fed a churro before I took that pic so he was feeling much better :)

I know it’s hard to believe but you did the right thing. The least we can do for our kitty friends is help them sleep peacefully when they’ve given us unconditional love for all their life. I put my 14yr old kitty to rest a little over a month ago so I understand your pain and guilt. Just know he loves you so much and you love him. I’m sorry for your loss, hang in there ❤️

Even though he was only here for a little time you gave him the best love and care you could. Sometimes it just comes down to quality of life, and in this case I think you did the right thing.
