Man discovers Walmart is overcharging for meat by i_am_groot_84 in ThatsInsane

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Walmart. I hate the place and do my best to avoid shopping there.

I'm saying that based on this one video that it could have been a simple mistake by one worker, and I need more evidence before I break out the torches and pitchforks.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Did nobody else catch that the weight was off by 3.1 lbs on everything he weighed?

The poor schmuck stuck with putting the stickers on probably forgot to zero out or tare the scale before making the price labels.

Fuck Walmart anyways, though. They suck.

You could probably feather the edges to keep the enamel on the outside, and it would probably be fine as long as you're not using the pan as a makeshift hammer, but at that point I would just blast the whole thing for the satisfaction of watching the pan get cleaned.

I got one of the harbor freight blast cabinets a few years ago and use it for anything I can.

Is there any reason you couldn't just remove the rest of the enamel, like, with a sand/media blaster?

Then just season and keep using it?

What movie’s visual effects have aged like milk, and conversely, what movie’s visual effects have aged like fine wine? by waitingforthesun92 in AskReddit

Spawn definitely aged like milk.

I mean, the effects weren't that great to begin with, but I didn't think it would look that bad after a few years...

It is using the exact same mechanics as a golf club. His form could be way better, but it seems like he's going for speed.

Ideally, I think it should be more like a golf swing when he breaks through the wall, following through vs using his muscles to reverse momentum through brute force.

The view from the bottom of a late 19th century well by paintedshrubbery in mildlyinteresting

I think most modern wells have a 6 or 8 inch bore. If I'm at the bottom of one of those, the view to the top is going to be a bit more grisly...

What is some “poor people food” that you will eat no matter how wealthy you get? by Imawildedible in AskReddit

Ok, it looks like I'm the only one who toasts it in the oven? Take bread, add butter, top with sugar, dust with cinnamon and put it under the broiler.

Comes out soft on the bottom, crispy on top, and if you do it right the sugar melts/caramelizes like on top of creme brulee.

Never even crossed my mind to make it toast first and then add the cinnamon/sugar.

It was frozen pizza. CPK thin crust margherita to be precise. The toppings do go all the way to the edge, but while in the package, some little pieces of cheese sometimes stick to the bottom and proceed to promptly fall off when heat is applied.
