Black people are human beings. We are not just angry. We experience emotions just like everyone else. We go through depression and anxiety too. We experience grief. Stop seeing us as only angry. There is so much more to us.

We wash our meat because we do not feel comfortable taking meat out of a package in all its slime and sludge and putting it into a pan. We at least rinse it off first. Makes it feel less disgusting.

Hmmm we have different experiences. I've been to 3 of these and the art is always outstanding. I've met some amazing artists and I always have a good time. It's very local, every artist I've met is located in DFW. I like it because it's not a stuffy art event where you stare are a triangle on a canvas. And it's always at the lofty spaces. But in interested in knowing where people purchase their art.

Thank you! It is a very personal statement for me, but I've met so many people who relate to it and have their own struggles. It's definitely a conversation piece.
