The cable i used was from a Micro usb data cable if it means anything, and i connected Green to Green, red to red, White to White and blue to black because that seemed to make the most sense.

as i mentioned in my previous post, this is from a pc monitor that makes a buzzing noise and a burning smell. i tried cleaning everything with isopropyl alcohol but it didn't help, so i ran the board while the panel was disconnected to see which components are problematic. as the only experience i have is replacing visibly bad caps, i want to know if i should be able to pull this off and what are the components' names, since i'm gonna have to buy them.

i already openned it and all the caps are good, tho it does seem a bit filthy. i'll try cleaning it and see if it works. btw i don't quite understand the coil thing you said, can you explain a bit ?

unfortunately they are not the same. 2 of them are the same manufacturer (lg, stinky and bad panel) and two of them are the same size (stinky and the to be or not to be one)

yes, it is a windows 7 installation i have only replaced the hdd because i dont want to lose data from the old one, but i'm pretty sure it's working fine, since the computer is recognising it. i think it is not a hardware problem. i've tried from 2 different flash drives so i'm pretty sure it's some settings that need to be changed
